Also, nine players from the WHL have been named to the Czech Republic World Junior selection camp. All will now compete for a roster spot on the host team of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship.

We will hear from former Kootenay Ice/Lethbridge Hurricanes F Matt Alfaro who's now taking advantage of the WHL Scholarship Program with the University of Calgary Dinos.

WHL This Week - Episode 9, looks back on the dramatic CIBC Canada Russia Series final leg in the WHL. We will have reaction after a Team WHL double shootout win to clinch the series following a come-from-behind overtime victory in Saskatoon.

Willie Desjardins is back with the Medicine Hat Tigers after eight seasons of pro hockey which included NHL stops in Dallas, Vancouver and LA. He joins us to talk about his time there and now being back in a familiar spot with the Tigers.

Finally, the WHL "On The Run" Player of the Week is Medicine Hat Tigers captain James Hamblin after a successful BC Division road swing. He'll wrap up the show.

We'll have the latest from the World Under 17 Challenge as Team Canada White remains a medal hopeful thanks to six players from the WHL.

The Victoria Royals remain in the mix this season despite a heavy roster turnover from last year's team. Head Coach Dan Price gives us the breakdown. Finally, the Prince George Cougars received some good news this week with the return of import F Vladislav Mikhalchuk. Last year's leading scorer on the Cougars has come back to refine his game.

The Pats set a new franchise attendance record but it was a hometown player from the Calgary Hitmen that stole the show in the end. Plus, Saskatchewan has it's first ever victory in the WHL Cup. Lethbridge Hurricanes F and Buffalo Sabres 1st round NHL selection Dylan Cozens has made an instant impact since being returned to the WHL for his 19 year-old season. Cozens picked up the WHL "On The Run" Player of the Week award. He has eight points in three games since his return from Buffalo.

Kamloops Blazer Connor Zary has earned a reputation as a clutch performer. The 18 year-old from Saskatoon, SK will join us to discuss his start in what is his NHL draft year as a potential 1st round pick this summer.

Finally, several top WHL players have made their way back to their junior teams. We'll highlight those players and be joined by newly named Seattle Thunderbirds Captain Matthew Wedman.
