WHL This Week - Radio Edition, talks to a familiar face back in the WHL this year. Manny Viveiros is now guiding the Spokane Chiefs after a year on the Edmonton Oilers bench. He left the WHL after leading the Swift Current Broncos to the 2018 Ed Chynoweth Cup. He'll be our guest to talk about his new challenge with the Chiefs.

Everett Silvertips captain Bryce Kindopp began his over-age season with a bang. Six points on opening weekend and the the WHL "On the Run" Player of the Week award. We will catch up with him.

It's been a busy week of news around the league. The Kamloops Blazers acquired 20yr old F Ryan Hughes in a big trade with the Saskatoon Blades. We will hear from the newest member of the Blazers and GM Matt Bardsley. As well, Kelowna Rockets broadcaster Regan Bartel is in his 25th year in the WHL. He was honoured this summer by the BC Hockey Hall of Fame with the Bernie Pascall Media Award. He will take us back to that special night.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, kicks off 2019-2020 Opening Week with WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. He'll preview all the major events ahead this season. Meanwhile the WHL has adopted new rules this season to follow suit with changes at the NHL level. WHL Vice President of Hockey Richard Doerksen will tell us what's new, and what could be on the way.

Finally, the WHL broadcasters have weighed in on some season predictions. We will take a look at what they think the 2019-20 season will look like.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes you back to the Art Hauser Centre for Monday's deciding game seven of the 2019 Rogers WHL Championship. We'll take you onto the ice for the Prince Albert Raiders celebration as they prepare to head off to the 2019 Memorial Cup presented by KIA. Hear from overtime hero Dante Hannoun, F Brett Leason and Head Coach Marc Habscheid.

The Vancouver Giants came within a goal of fighting back from a 3-1 series deficit and claiming the Ed Chynoweth Cup for themselves. Giants Head Coach Michael Dyck will reflect on the series and this past season as his first with the Giants.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, has the latest from the WHL Championship Series presented by Rogers. The Prince Albert Raiders are just one win away from claiming their first WHL title in 34 years, while the Vancouver Giants look to extend the series back to Prince Albert for game six.

We continue our look at some of the WHL Award winners. Spokane Chiefs D Ty Smith claimed the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy for the WHL's Defenseman of the Year. He'll be our guest. Moose Jaw Warriors F Brayden Tracey's spectacular rookie season landed him the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as the WHL's top rookie. We'll get his thoughts on his first year as he prepares for the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Finally, referee Brett Iverson won the the Allen Paradice Memorial Trophy as the WHL's top official for a third straight year. He'll join us to close out the show.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes a look back at a busy two days in Red Deer. The 2019 WHL Bantam Draft saw a flurry of moves in the opening round. We'll recap that and hear from Winnipeg ICE Director of Scouting Jake Heisinger as the ICE selected both 1st and 2nd overall.

The 2019 WHL Awards Banquet was held Wednesday in Red Deer. The Prince Albert Raiders were big winners as GM Curtis Hunt, Head Coach Marc Habscheid and G Ian Scott all took home awards. We will hear from all three ahead of the 2019 WHL Championship Series presented by Rogers.

The Everett Silvertips and Spokane Chiefs are ready to meet. Hear from WHL Rookie of the Month for March 2019 Adam Beckman. Beckman had a strong rookie campaign and that has carried over into the playoffs. Everett Silvertips F Bryce Kindopp will join us to discuss the playoffs. He's coming off a hat-trick in the first round series clinching win over the Tri-City Americans.

To conclude the show, we hear from five-year Kamloops Blazer Jermaine Loewen. Originally an adopted orphan from Jamaica, Loewen wrapped up his WHL career earlier this week as captain of the Blazers. He hopes he was a positive influence both on and off the ice.
