There's been no shortage of debate over Bishop Mariann Budde's inauguration service sermon — an address widely seen as rebuking President Donald Trump as he sat in the pews and listened.
"In the Name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now," Budde said during her sermon, speaking directly to Trump. "There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican and independent families. Some who fear for their lives."
Christian Post reporter Michael Gryboski joins Billy Hallowell to dive deeper into Budde's views on politics and theology, the reaction to her sermon — and more.
Listen to Gryboski explain the debate and delve deeper into the issues surrounding Budde. You can also read more about her and the controversy here.
