One of the most-asked questions about Genesis is: who was Cain’s wife?
Well, we know from Scripture Adam and Eve, Cain’s parents, were the first people and everyone is descended from them. So, Cain’s wife had to have come from them.
Now, Genesis tells us Adam and Eve had “other sons and daughters.” So, Cain must’ve married his sister or maybe his niece.
But isn’t this incest?
Well, God didn’t forbid close relations marrying until the time of Moses, hundreds of years later. This might’ve been because our world is broken and mistakes started piling up in our DNA. So, it made sense for God to prohibit close relatives from marrying originally.
