Letting It Soak In (Part One)
Hold Up. Let's just hit pause. Do you ever listen to a podcast and think, “Wow, I need to just sit on that and let it soak in?”
Yep, so did Joshua and Kristin.
These past few weeks on Wholistic Hearts Podcast have been jam packed with so much wisdom Joshua and Kristin wanted to make sure we are taking time to digest all the goodness.
This week, Joshua and Kristin are discussing how Allen Arnold’s conversation on our previous show about Creativity in Chaos has become reality as of late more than ever.
If you haven't listened to Allen's interview on Wholistic Hearts, go here.
Joshua and Kristin's takeaways and nuggets they are holding:
-Our gifting is a weapon of light.
-Use our gifting to counter the chaos.
-Your gifting will not be sunshine and rainbows.
-Distinguishing the difference between hard time vs. chaos
-Love Vs. Fear Driven
-Are we savoring what we have accomplished and what that looks like

This week on Wholistic Hearts, Jami Amerine, author of Stolen Jesus and Well, Girl, became an instant friend while we recorded this episode. (You'll have to excuse my giggles in the beginning...because well, that's just who I am.) Being a fellow wellness mama of youngsters who have allergies and celiac, we hit it off in connecting our hearts. The way the Holy Spirit nudged Jami’s heart in her own wellness journey and her kids’ journey is so inspiring. Jami talks about the verse “Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial." (1 Cor. 10:23) She explains how this is the perfect place to lean into as we walk in our identity and wellness journey. So many women feel like they are rooted in failure like roller coaster weight gain or miscarriage or chronic illness. What if we let God weigh in (pun intended) in these holistic approaches to our lives? I hope you walk away from this episode feeling encouraged and more than anything it draws you closer to intimacy with your Creator.
On today’s episode, Kristin sits down with the revelatory author and speaker, Wendy Backlund. Wendy is the co-founder of Igniting Hope Ministries and also a leader in the Body of Christ through life changing encounters with God. She is the author of Living From the Unseen, Victorious Emotions, and much more.
Kristin asks Wendy about her first encounter with Jesus and continues to explain what an “Encounter” actually is and how to use our imagination to experience the spirit realm.
Wendy also encourages us to renew our minds in the Truth. Jesus is the Word, and we can use the Truth to bring order to chaos in the natural world.
This episode is sure to ignite hope and fan the flame of His glorious riches which are continuing to be found everyday if we open our hearts to the Holy Spirit. Through childlike wonder, we can step into even more with our relationship with God.

As we turn the page into a new season, Kristin shares a fresh Encounter on Wholistic Hearts podcast. This Encounter brings you to a place of home as you meet the Father in the mountains at a log cabin. I hope you enjoy this beautifully guided peaceful meditation.

On Wholistic Hearts Podcast today, Kristin invites her good friend and author, Megan Nilsen to sit down in the Chadwick studio. Two former MOPS moms shooting the breeze and remembering the good old days. Megan’s book, A Beautiful Exchange, sparked something deep inside Kristin over five years ago. Megan shares about her book and the journey through international adoption and a desperate need to let go of control in exchange for His Fruit. Megan continued to serve in ministry in the traditional ways through leading various Bible Studies.
Then...Quarantine hits.
Megan discovers and sees more of where the Lord was leading her to share even more so. Megan, stepping bravely out in faith, has created an online course and begun to do spiritual coaching. Kristin encourages her listeners to take a look and participate in Megan’s upcoming in-depth 7 week online course- Beautiful Exchange Experience.

Creativity in Chaos
On this episode of Wholistic Hearts, Joshua and I sit down with Allen Arnold to process what it looks like to create in the midst of chaos. Allen coaches us through asking us and the listeners, “What is the story I am living in?” and “Where does chaos come from?”
We talk about creating and how to guard our hearts in the midst of this chaotic season.
Allen Arnold is an author of allegory book, The Story of With, an encouraging writing coach, a brilliant speaker, and executive content producer for Wild at Heart ministries.
