JeVon McCormick was born the son of a black pimp father and a white orphan mother. Today, he’s the CEO of Scribe Media, a multi-million dollar publishing company that was recently ranked the #1 Top Company Culture in America by Entrepreneur Magazine.

He’s made millions in the stock market (even though he didn’t go to college), he was the President of a software company (even though he can’t code) and he’s currently the CEO of a publishing company (even though he can’t spell).

JeVon is the President and CEO of Scribe Media, a publishing company that helps individuals from a variety of backgrounds write, publish, and market their books.

Scribe Media has worked with more than 1700 authors, including members of The Nobel Peace Prize Committee, Nassim Taleb and David Goggins, whose blockbuster book Can’t Hurt Me has sold over 2 million copies.

In addition to his role at Scribe, JT is an author and highly sought after keynote speaker, delivering the message that “Everyone Has A Story” to enthusiastic audiences across the country. His book, I Got There: How a Mixed-Race Kid Overcame Racism, Poverty, and Abuse to Achieve the American Dream, tells the harrowing story of his struggle to succeed despite the overwhelming odds stacked against him.

JeVon is passionate about conscious entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for at-risk youth. He has mentored young men and women in the juvenile justice system, as well as those in lower economic communities.

JeVon currently serves as a board member for Conscious Capitalism and the StartEdUp Foundation.

His story and work have been featured on CNBC, and in Entrepreneur, Forbes, and Inc. magazines. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Megan, and their four children Ava, Jaxon, Elle and Jace.

I talk with Eric Osborne, founder of Mycomeditations. We talk about his journey starting as a young boy, having an ultimate love and connection with nature, reptiles, and being his most authentic self. Eric shares with us how he not only had a fascination with mushrooms and nature, but human conciseness and healing others as well, when he realized the healing properties of of psilocybin through his own personal experiences. This was a great, raw conversation!

Eric made his first annual pilgrimage to Jamaica in 2003 and worked with his first MycoMeditations group there in 2013.

As the first Indiana State Certified Wild Mushroom Expert, a gourmet mushroom cultivator and founder of the non-profit organization PLEDG, (Psychedelic Liberation Education Discipline and Guidance) Eric has committed his life to learning and teaching the benefits of medicinal fungi.

Twenty years of work cultivating, consuming, and administering psilocybin has taught Eric many invaluable lessons. With a sincere and lighthearted approach, he maintains a safe and structured setting for the psilocybin voyager.

This journey has not been an easy one. In 2013 Eric was arrested for hosting psilocybin sessions on his farm. While creating significant challenges, it was the motivation needed to take his work public.

Witnessing the healing effects of psilocybin so many times fueled Eric’s drive to ensure safe, legal access to psilocybin. In 2016, while serving a two year probation sentence Eric invested all of his efforts into building MycoMeditations and PLEDG. The work has continued to grow ever since and the healing has touched hundreds of individuals.

Dylan and I first connected a little under a year ago and ever since have been great friends, where we talk about the wonders of life, love, creation, and magic.

In this episode, we discover who's behind the mask for people, in the time of epic pandemics and how you can silence the outward noise, and go inward to hear the real truth that lies within. Also learning what your inner truth is, playing by your own rules, and crafting the reality that serves you best.

I had the pleasure of talking with Nicole Lepera, aka The Holistic Psychology on all things mind and mental wellness in and out of the workplace! From the subconscious, to gut health, we talk about the importance of human consciousness in the workplace and how we can impact our modern day workforce by impacting our own lives.

Dr. Nicole LePera is a Holistic Psychologist who believes that mental wellness is for everyone. She evolved her more traditional training from Cornell University and The New School to one that acknowledges the connection between the mind and body.

Dr. LePera views mental and physical struggles from a whole person perspective and works to identify the underlying physical and emotional causes. She understands that balance is an integral part of wellness and empowers individuals to heal themselves, supporting them on their wellness journeys.

Dr. LePera founded the Mindful Healing Center in Center City Philadelphia where she works with individuals, couples, and families taking gut health, sleep, movement, cellular health, belief, and mindfulness into treatment. She is also available via Skype.
