For their first podcast of 2014, Phil and Paul decided that it was high time that they did another Target book review. So what did they pick? The Twin Dilemma that's what!! In a vain attempt to discover whether Eric Sawards novelisation improves on what is probably the most least regarded Doctor Who serial, they discover abandonment of the original plot, pointless back stories for characters and things, depression all round and a mystic cat.
And in the news this week, Gareth Roberts will be on writing duties for series 8 which gives Phil flashbacks to the horror that is Craig Owens, a couple of Australian centric items and a quick peek into Omega's Tat Corner with the latest in t-shirt news!
This is it, the big one! In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast we say farewell to Matt Smith and finally say hello to Peter Capaldi in our review of The Time of The Doctor. While everyone should just be congratulating Matt Smith on a job well done, fandom seems set to implode yet again in what is currently a very divisive episode. So what is Phil and Paul's take on matters? Will Phil revert to type and declare this the worst episode EVAH!? Will Paul take a more lenient approach? Tune in to find out what they think but rest assured that Phil (and to a certain extent Paul) get in a few barbed comments about fandoms course for self destruction.
And in the news this week....STATS!! Oh, and a farewell message from Matt Smith.
We also want to wish all our listeners a very Happy New Year!!
It's the Who's He? Podcast Christmas special and as usual they take a look at a Doctor Who Christmas special from years gone by and this time it's the turn of Voyage of The Damned, the Kylie Minogue vanity project. So get in a festive mood as Phil and Paul review this story in a subjective and respectful manner and extol the virtues of this Christmas classic for the ages. Oh and the word awful is used. A lot. One hell of a lot as a matter of fact!
And in the news this week The Time of Doctor has it's DVD & blu-ray release announced, The Moonbase DVD reveals it's special features, director news for series 8 and in a sad tale for festive season, Christmas Log the lonely K9 knock-off is abandoned in Plymouth. All togther now, "aahhhhh".
And lastly, a Merry Christmas to all our listeners!!
In this special mini episode of the Who's He? Podcast, Phil returns once again to the world of gaming with a review of Doctor Who: Legacy, the latest attempt at transferring the show into a gaming format. Listen to find out if Phil is favourable of this latest attempt or does he think that it joins the long list of Doctor Who games sent straight to gaming purgatory.
This week Phil and Paul wrap up the Destiny of The Doctor audio series with a review of the final story in the series, The Time Machine read by Jenna Coleman. Well they do after a false start as Phil leaps into the future and announces he's reviewing The Time of The Doctor which surprises Paul somewhat. Anyway, when they finally get down to business, they tackle whether this is a fitting end to the Destiny of The Doctor series and does it tie up all the loose ends?
And in the news this week, a brand new trailer for The Time of The Doctor, a petition to name a recently discovered planet Gallifrey and in an international themed Omega's Tat Corner, two items of tat for our North American listeners that have either sold out or not yet available for Christmas. Well, not this Christmas anyway!
This week it's a mammoth review of everything but The Day of The Doctor! For 85 minutes Phil and Paul cover The Night of The Doctor, The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot, The Last Day, An Adventure in Space and Time, The Day of The Doctor After Show Party and the Doctor Who Celebration weekend at London's Excel Centre (phew!!). Yes they discuss an awful lot in this podcast, so sit back, fill your pipe with your favourite shag and enjoy!
And in the news this week, the time is confirmed for the showing of The Time of The Doctor on BBC1, the special effects team is confirmed for Peter Capaldi's first season and in a bumper edition of Omega's Tat Corner there are more Christmas ideas than you can shake a stick at and one particular piece of tat will spice up the bedroom!
Here it is folks, we've finally got round to reviewing the 50th Anniversary spectacular, The Day of The Doctor. So what did Paul and Phil reckon to this multi Doctor story? During their discussion they touch on the dangling Zygon plot thread, the necessity of an extra Doctor, the fan reaction to "Rose" and who is Tom Baker?
And in the news this week it's stats!! And Michael Grade is still a stubborn old sod.
In an occasional series of interviews to celebrate Doctor Who's half century, the Who's He? Podcast talks to various fans, bloggers and podcasters about their love of Doctor Who in the lead up to the 50th Anniversary on 23rd November 2013.
In the last interview of this series, Phil chats to Paul Heath from The Pharos Project about his memories of growing up reading the Doctor Who Target novelisations, how he evetually started watching the TV series and how The Pharos Project morphed from being a pure Doctor Who podcast into embracing all things geek.

The 50th anniversary celebrations have begun!! In this special episode we review the anniversary offering from Big Finish in the form their multi Doctor story Light At The End. Will this story improve upon previous multi Doctor stories or will it be another jumbled mess attempting to cram in as many continuity references as humanly possible? Never fear though as Phil and Paul give your their usual forthright opinion and Phil makes a complete balls up of explaining the plot!
However, you must bear one thing in mind! This review does contain spoilers, so if you haven't listened to Light At The End you have been warned!!
On this weeks podcast Phil and Paul return once again to their series 3 retrospective with a look Blink written by current show runner Steven Moffat. Just how much did the two of them enjoy this story and does it still hold up as the monumental fan favourite? Listen to find out and also hear them begin to on a journey down memory lane before they both get slapped back into the present day.
And in the news this week, the guest list of the 3 day convention in November is announced along with a convention showing of Day of The Doctor, rumour news on Peter Capaldi only staying for 13 episodes and Phil shows his disappointment on not seeing Nicola Bryant.
