I would say that its a matter of his temperament. Mostly introvert vs extrovert and how sensitive he is. And also what may be his morals or standards.

I know many guys who like one night stands. Myself, on the other hand, am aversive towards it. For me, there are two possibilities: I must either have sex with a long term partner or ‘a humiliating one night stand with a woman to whom I would need to overtly show that she is just one hell of a whore´. Its maybe a madonna-whore complex, but I view it a little differently. For me, sex is something that bonds people, deeply. And if I would be doing it just for fun (which I would damn want!), I would need to consider those people as “awful whores” (so I would not get attached to them). Yeah, I normally would get attached. Physical contact has such an effect on me. And I dont want to get attached to those who will sleep with another man just few days afterwards.

I always envy people who can do one night stands, but I also dread them and think that they are rather superficial and unstable (volatile) – not a marriage material.
