We have all heard about the days of charm school and other organizations whose primary focus was to help shape young boys and girls into proper ladies and gentlemen.
As you look around at society today, it is painfully obvious at just how etiquette and manners both at, and away from the workplace, have taken a backseat amongst people of all ages, races and gender.
Our guest for this episode, Naretha Hopson, has been working to help reverse that trend with Ever Appropriate Etiquette Institute. EAEI is a St. Louis based consulting firm which provides Leadership Development Programming for youth and professionals in the areas of Dining Etiquette, Business Etiquette, Impression Management, The Art of Networking and Personal/Professional Branding.
Naretha shares some favorite memories about growing up in St. Louis and how she is helping reproduce similar memories with her son. Of course we discuss how Ever Appropriate Etiquette Institute came to be and what is next up for her business along with having a book available called "5 Steps to the Professional Presence that Pay$".
You will not want to miss our "Guest Faves" segment as Naretha talks about what she likes most about St. Louis and how moving to Detroit and coming back made her appreciate St. Louis even more.
Also, where did she get her name? That question and much more is answered on the Who's Who in St. Lou Show!
