Is what you believe about Genesis just a side issue, like so many people think? No! All of our Christian doctrines are ultimately founded in the history in Genesis.

Here’s an example. Try and answer this question without using Genesis: why are we sinners?

That’s a hard one to answer without Genesis! And that’s because we need the history of the fall to explain why we’re sinners.

God created a perfect world but Adam rebelled against his Creator. This brought the penalty of death into the world. We sinned in Adam and continue to sin so we all deserve death. That’s why we need a Savior! It all begins in Genesis.
