Thomas Merritt, Ph.D. is a professor and Canada Research Chair at Laurentian University. His research involves using genomics and bioinformatics to investigate the connection between genotypes and phenotypes, which will hopefully lead to a better understanding of the molecular complexity and protein function. What do we know about the genetics of being right- or left-handed, or even ambidextrous? Thomas Merritt found that roughly 90% of people are right-handed, but why?
