Farmers in Bendigo will soon be paying cheaper council rates. 

City of Greater Bendigo councillors have voted in favour of a 10% decrease in the rate paid by farmers. 

It means landholders in the region will pay just 65% of the general rate in a bid to mitigate some pressures from the Emergency Services Levy
