The cosmetics industry may have consumers confused when it comes to "clean beauty." While beauty brands must legally list ingredients, they have pretty free rein when it comes to greenwashing their marketing terminology.  Words such as "natural" and "green" have no enforceable or standardized definitions and can differ vastly from brand to beauty brand.

Our guest, Mike Indursky, comes from the "big beauty" world – he served as the president of Bliss World, the Chief Marketing Officer of Burt’s Bees and held various executive GM and marketing roles for brands at L’Oreal and Unilever. His passion and purpose are to shake up the skincare industry by ending the days of using ingredients that shouldn’t go on skin, in packaging that isn’t sustainable, making claims that can’t be kept, with prices that are too high for products people don’t need.
