Her body is found naked, posed, beaten and mutilated beyond recognition. The ensuing investigation yields lead after lead, suspect after suspect and false confession after false confession yet, all to no avail.

Suspiciously, just as the investigation is heating up, the LAPD suddenly and without warning, dismiss the prime suspect and close the case.
