In the Book of Mormon, Moroni issued a list of admonitions that some have called the 22 Commandments. Compositions that are 22 lines long appear in Hebrew literature, sometimes corresponding to the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. There are reasons to suspect that Moroni could have used this type of ancient Hebrew literary form.
