I remember the firestorm of media reports when our full-size Noah’s Ark at the Ark Encounter opened in 2016. People wondered why anyone would build an ark—and many people accused us of doing it “for the money.” So why’d we do it?
Well, because it’s a powerful gospel outreach to our increasingly secular culture. Through the Ark itself and the Ark’s three decks of exhibits, we show that God’s Word can be trusted from the very beginning. And if the history in God’s Word is true, the gospel message is also true. So we built the Ark to boldly and clearly present the message the world needs—the gospel of Jesus Christ!
