The reason it's the "Lunfardo", a popular slang that was originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Over time, lunfardo spread through tango and popular culture, incorporating words and expressions from various languages, such as Italian.

A lot of Argentinian famous people like Lionel Messi, Anya Taylor Joy sound different for this reason.
