As in baseball, investing too much of ourselves in things likely to bring us disappointment can leave us feeling wounded. But Jesus warned we should expect suffering in this world. In fact, Jesus was quite clear that we should expect a level of suffering in this life that is directly related to our decision to obey him. Today, we discuss how the Holy Spirit helps us discern what is a quick hurt versus an injury that requires rest before we continue on.
