Elections matter for workers. That is the lesson that was reinforced by the failure of Labor win the 2019 Federal poll. Since then, the Morrison Government has attempted to pass more draconian anti-worker and union busting laws. So far they’ve been thwarted from getting everything they want, but they’ll be back for another crack if they win another election.
Misha Zelinsky is National Assistant Secretary at the Australian Workers Union (AWU) and he is a guest this week. He’s been writing recently about the importance of Labor and the union movement realigning its relationship with working Australians.
Professor Sara Charlesworth from RMIT is also on the pod. She is an expert Work, Gender & Regulations and talks to us about why its vital the government move quickly to enact the recommendations of the recent Respect at Work Report.
