Why do Younglings wear those big helmets during lightsaber training? Why not just a blind fold?

in Attack of the Clones we saw them training with Master Yoda as Obi-Wan Kenobi came in, asking about Kamino, but he couldn't find it. Until jedi youngling Liam mentioned it could have been erased from memory.

This leads Yoda and Obi-Wan to realize only a Jedi could have done this!

But who?!?!
