And which king started this practice? EDWARD THE CONFESSOR whose Feast Day is celebrated by the CHURCH OF ENGLAND. And looks like the Church of England is not so pure and innocent, as they have a history of SEX ABUSE committed by many clergy. One clergyman being PETER BALL who was committed to a mere 32 months in jail for MALFEASANCE IN OFFICE. From bad deeds in office we head over to more fun crimes like DUELING!

It’s an old school episode of Wikifreakz, and by that we mean we’re going back - all the way back to the beginning of recorded human history!
First we kick off in Ancient Greece with ALEXANDER II ZABINAS. Did you know he kicked CLEOPATRA THEA and her husband Demetrius II out of Antioch in 125 BC? And CLEOPATRA THEA was married in a sumptuous ceremony in ACRE, ISRAEL. Turns out ACRE is one of the OLDEST INHABITED CITIES in the world! And so is HEIJŌ-KYŌ, the old capital of Japan. And Japan’s fourth Empress was EMPRESS GENMEI! She ruled the CHRYSANTHEMUM THRONE for only five years. And wait, who is the Emperor of Japan today? NARUHITO! And he is the 126th Monarch of Japan following JAPAN’S TRADITIONAL ORDER OF SUCCESSION. The first emperor of Japan, Kamu-yamato Iware-biko no Mikoto, was claimed to be descended from the sun goddess AMATERASU. And the sun goddess is only one of the “Three Precious Children” of the creator IZANAGI! That’s right Freakz, we get deep into the ancient world in this episode. Listen up and enjoy!

First episode of the new year and WikiFreakz is here to celebrate! First we take a dip in the cool waters of Australia with the PACIFIC BLUE EYE, which is a type of fish. And what do fish do? Why they SHOAL AND SCHOOL! And both shoaling and schooling are defined by SYNCHRONIZATION! An act that is represented in multiple places including in the fabulous LIP SYNCS at DRAG SHOWS! And man, drag is anything but a drag especially when you head down to New Orleans for SOUTHERN DECADENCE! THat’s where these WikiFreakz will be come Labor Day (vaccine depending of course!) December 29, 2020 #87 - Mt. Takahe, Amundsen Sea, Operation HighJump, Mt. Erebus Disaster & White Out!
As we head into the dark months of winter, WikiFreakz heads south — VERY SOUTH. Antartica! We start with MOUNT TAKAHE, a dormant volcano on the southern continent. And what does Mt. Takahe abut? Why it’s the AMUNDSEN SEA! Did you know that one of the US’s first expeditions to Antartica was OPERATION HIGHJUMP - an operation in which three men lost their lives. And they weren’t the only ones; there have been quite a few DEATHS IN ANTARTICA with the biggest disaster being the MOUNT EREBUS DISASTER of 1979 when 257 people perished. One of the causes of the Erebus Disaster was a WHITE OUT caused by snow which made the horizon disappeared from view. It's a snowy, scary, sad world out there and us WikiFreakz are here to learn about it!
