Jill and Connor kick off this historic episode of Wikifteakz with the FIRST SILESIAN WAR, which apparently was stated for no good reason. After the war they read about the iconic leadership of MARIA THERESA who was a member of the HOUSE OF HABSBURG. The Habsburgs or Hapsburgs were one of the longest ruling dynasties in all of Europe dating back to the 1020s! And how did this iconic house gets its name? From the old Habsburg Castle in Switzerland. The Castle has the most adorable COAT OF ARMS which was displayed at KNIGHTLY TOURNAMENTS. And who was a fantastic knight? Why old WILLIAM MARSHAL! From wars for nothing to mêlées for honor this episode is one for the history books!

Jill and Connor kick off episode 72 of WikiFreakz with the THE SPALDING WAR MEMORIAL, which was built in remembrance of FRANCIS MCLAREN who actually didn’t die in the war. Sounds like a monument that would only exist in the ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE. And what populates the English Countryside but COUNTRY HOUSES! And why what a peculiar country house SEZINCOTE HOUSE is. Yes in fact it was designed in the style of the MUGHAL EMPIRE. And what were some other aspects of the mughal empire? Why the RED FORT. And what happened at the red fort? THE INDIAN REBELLION OF 1857. From a war memorial to remember a soldier who never made it to war to a failed rebellion this quarantine episode features some great moments of failure.

The weather’s heating up and so are the Freakz of Wiki! In Episode 71 Jill and Connor kick it off (rightfully so) with soccer (British football) coach ALF RAMSEY. Now, Ramey’s a little dry so Jill and Connor decide to take a deeper dive into his hometown of DAGENHAM. Turns out DAGENHAM is also a little dry, but you know what’s wetter than hell? The RIVER THAMES, which is where Jill and Connor head next. A short trip downriver leads them to DEVIL’S HIGHWAY, which, sadly, is a let down. But from there interest ignites with the GREAT FIRE OF LONDON which lasted for four days and destroyed over 80,000 residences. Now that is hot stuff! Take a break from the quarantine and learn about tragedy from another time, ya Freakz!

Since the situation has gotten a little sad and stagnant on Earth, Jill and Connor take to the far reaches of space in this third quarantined episode of WikiFreakz. First they look to the heavens and learn of the constellation HOLOGIUM. And what’s one of the stars in that constellation? Why! It’s the red dwarf GLIESE 106! That’s right and it turns out that the some of the exoplanets orbiting Gliese 106 might be in range of the HABITABLE ZONE. Imagine if we could leave this Earth for a new SUPER-EARTH. And why it turns out we may have found just such a planet in GLIESE 876D. Space if full of mysterious phenomenon like TRANSITS and other CELESTIAL EVENTS. METEOR SHOWERS ever heard of em?! Will the wonders of the universe ever cease? Unlikely! Bucket up, star babies, this episode will ease that earth-bound-anxiety!

And Turcotte was not only Canadian, but he was a member of the ORDER OF CANADA! And who was also a member of the order but renowned women’s rights activist HENRY MORGENTALER. And who was a disgraced member of that very same order? Why the LORD OF BLACK CROSS HARBOR of course! And, boy, was he rich! But not super rich, only 283rd on the SUNDAY TIMES RICH LIST.

There may be a global pandemic but that’s not stopping WikiFreakz. Jill and Connor recorded this episode from two different locations, which is why the audio is little off, but hey they’re doing their best.
First they kick it off with something nice and mundane, the SONESTOWN COVERED BRIDGE and boy was that thing a feat of STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING. You know sometimes things fail, like in the PÉTION-VILLE SCHOOL COLLAPSE. Maybe the school wouldn’t have fallen apart if the maniac in charge had studied the HISTORY OF CONCRETE. And you know what’s historical and was built out concrete? The COLOSSEUM! And wow what a place, they had mock sea battles or NAUMACHIA in that thing!
