It is soooo powerful to see how far we've come when the same scenario presents itself.

I share this because I WISH someone would have shared their honest experiences with me when I was on my journey of triggers and shame around self pleasure.

Because as women we are DESIGNED for pleasure. And when we heal the triggers, stigma and culture/religion/traditions we were taught around pleasure, we can experience so much depth in ourselves a deep intimacy with our partner.

It can be a total mind f*ck.

Questioning the relationship …

Worried he is not into you as much as before …

Wondering if this will be enough for you for the rest of your life …

Going down the WORST case scenario possible.

Wondering if there is someone else out there that can give you everything you want … this one is dangerous.

The anxiety heightens as your worthiness level drops.

To avoid these thoughts, you avoid it.

Push down your desires.

Find other things to replace it.

(For me it was food + shopping.)

Dive into other things.

Like your family

Your work

Your hobby

Your community

While distractions can be the perfect thing at times, it does not replace our desires.

And it is time to start fulfilling our desires. On our own. So we don’t need to depend on anyone else to satisfy us.

When we can source our own safety, fulfillment and joy, we are a force to reckon with.

We stop needing our partner …

And we start to desire them instead.

It is a whole different MF vibe.
