Welcome to Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and’30s.
I’m fairly certain I’m not related to him, but tonight’s lone birthday salute is for Willard Robison. Besides, I believe his last name is pronounced with a long “o” and mine is with a short “o.” Carson Robison’s last name, by the way, is correctly pronounced with a short “o” also. Anyway, in addition to Willard Robison’s birthday salute, you’ll get taken for a ride (don’t worry, not the gangster kind of ride!), we’ll hearken back to the old west, we’ll play some nice records (ALL the records we play are nice, for that matter!) and find out about someone else. Somewhat inadvertently, we finish out the show with a recording from 1949! If you enjoy the show, please let us know by leaving a comment on the website or the Facebook page or sending an email to [email protected]. And remember, your requests and topic segments are always welcome. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.
Enjoy the show!
Here’s the complete playlist:
Segment 1: Willard Robison
Tin Pan Parade – Levee Loungers (Willard Robison) / Deep River Quintet
Segment 2: Someone Else
I Had Someone Else Before I Had You – Gene Rodemich’s Orchestra
Segment 3: Covered Wagons

Segment 4: Go For A Ride
Take Them For A Ride – Dave McCarn
Segment 5: Wasn’t It Nice?
