After five weeks of trying to flatten the Delta curve, Jacinda Ardern has moved Auckland from level 4 to level 3 lockdown. The only real difference is that Auckland residents no longer need to smuggle KFC and McDonalds back into the city and other "non-essential" purchases can be made. Melbourne is in week eight of lockdown six and set to overtake the Argentine capital Buenos Aries as the world's most lock downed city after 245 days.

The rampaging constriction worker protests that took place in Melbourne in response to the vaccine mandate for the industry fizzled out on Thursday and Friday. Victoria Police deployed the riot squad, the special operations group to take back the city in which numerous examples of police brutality were captured on camera.

The Federal Australian Labor Opposition has cooled its support for the AUKUS nuclear submarine deal as former Labor Prime Ministers Paul Keating and Kevin Rudd came out to say they don't believe China is a military and geopolitical threat to Australia. Prime Minister Scott Morrison is in Washington this week for the Quad Leaders meeting which includes the US, Japan, and India. New Zealand is not part of either grouping because of its "independent foreign policy".

Overnight the Morrison Government pledged its support for net-zero emissions by 2050 with Treasurer Josh Frydenberg stating the reason for the sudden policy commitment was future sanctions by international capital markets. Even Nationals Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has stated his party will support it. Despite planes leaving a huge carbon footprint and international travel restricted for residents NZ Greens leader Jamie Shaw along with 14 advisers are traveling to Glasgow for the November Climate summit.

Two days after the Melbourne construction industry was shut down for two weeks an earthquake led to the deconstruction of some local buildings. In response to being thrown out of work until they take the jab construction workers have raged through Melbourne. I look at Melbourne's extraordinary week on this special Tim's News Explosion.

After construction workers protested outside the CFMEU office in Melbourne on Monday angry about their leader John Setka's lack of push back against mandatory vaccinations the Andrews government decided to shut the construction industry for two weeks. The next day a construction worker took his own life while collecting his tools and a day of rage by thousands of construction workers took place in the CBD and moved all the way to the Westgate Bridge.

On Wednesday Victoria Police cornered that day's protest to the Shrine of Remembrance where after a standoff they dispersed the protestors with tear gas and rubber/bean bag bullets. Today there were hardly any live streams from the CBD after police tried to block news helicopters showing live ariel footage. Numerous instances of Victoria Police brutality were captured on phone cameras. The police have repeatedly said they are only following orders and they don't get to pick and choose which laws they enforce.

Labor MPs and union officials have failed to prove their conspiracy theory that far-right neo-nazi anti-vaxxers were pretending to be union members and construction workers. John Setka the Victorian Secretary of the CFMEU has now stated he has identified members of his union at the protests and will get them sacked from their construction jobs.

Monica Smit founder and leader of Reignite Democracy Australia is now free after having the more onerous aspects of her proposed bail overturned by the Victorian Supreme Court. Monica was charged with incitement at the beginning of the month with Victoria Police alleging she incited her members and followers to attend anti-lockdown protests.

With Victoria joining NSW in unveiling its roadmap to reopening only for the fully vaccinated we have seen roadmap rage breakout. Construction workers gathered outside the CFMEU Melbourne office this morning angry about Victorian Secretary John Setka's lack of pushback against the Andrews Government's vaccine mandate for the construction industry announced last week which was to come into effect on Friday. Setka and the Secretary of the ACTU Sally McManus claimed the angry crowd weren't really union members or construction workers but far-right extremists. In breaking news tonight the Andrews Government will shut down the construction sector for two weeks as many covid case clusters have been linked to the industry.

At the latest worldwide freedom rally in Melbourne, Victoria Police knocked down an old lady and pepper-sprayed her on the ground, the vision of this shocked the world. Police also pepper-sprayed the Real Rukshan and an Age photographer. Andy Nolch and Senator Slayer Neil Erikson join the news explosion a little later to offer their analysis. Andy believes that Victoria Police deployed rookie officers to the frontline of Saturday's protest knowing they would be overpowered so the media would capture footage of protestors breaking police lines to make them look bad.

Australia will be deep diving with nuclear-powered submarines as part of the new AUKUS Alliance. It does not include New Zealand with Jacinda Ardern banning the new subs from her waters. That plus further attacks on free speech and the latest lockdown news on Trad Tasman Talk with Tim and Stephen.

Premier Dan Andrews announced some modest freedoms for Victorian for the weekend doubling the permitted time outdoors per day to 4 hours, expanding the travel radius to 10km, and allowing small picnics but alcohol will still not be allowed to be consumed. These freedom treat rewards were granted because 70% of eligible Victorians have received the first dose of a vaccine. New daily covid cases are continuing to rise in Victoria due to clusters at construction sites. 

Dan Andrews has been too scared to shut the industry during lockdowns because of the power of CFMEU state Secretary John Setka. Construction workers today staged a smoko protest having their lunch break on the street to protest the closure of their tea rooms and that workers must receive one dose of the vaccine in a week's time.

Auckland is now in its fifth week of its alert level 4 lockdown to crush the nation's Delta outbreak. New Zealand's alert level 4 sees even takeaway closed and the growing number of lockdown breaches included a man who left Auckland for a Maccas run. The lockdown has increased Jacinda Ardern's popularity while National Party Opposition Leader Judith Collins looks like she might face a challenge soon.

A new AUKUS Alliance was announced by Scott Morrison, Joe Biden, and Boris Johnson as a second cold war is confirmed in the Pacific region as Communist China continues to flex its military muscle, influence, and interference in the region. Australia will also dump its $90 billion diesel-powered submarine contract with France in favor of superior nuclear power subs from the United States. Jacinda Ardern stated the nuclear subs will not be allowed in New Zealand waters, the nation is absent from the new alliance given its dependent relationship with Communist China.

The High Court of Australia recently ruled that publishers of social media pages are liable for comments published under their posts, not the social media companies themselves. The Victorian Government plans to make it unlawful for religious schools to dismiss or not hire LGBT teachers and staff. Queensland has become the fifth state in Australia to legalize euthanasia.

Last week the Morrison Government held a Women's Safety Summit which again gave oxygen to feminist activists who used to platform to criticize his government again. This feminist campaign has been led by Australian of the Year Grace Tame, who this week criticized the appointment of Lorriane Finlay as a Human Rights Commissioner for not supporting affirmative consent laws. Former Liberal staffer Britney Higgins has also joined Grace Tame in criticizing the Morrison Government's so-called inaction on women's issues. Before they wore physical masks during the pandemic our leaders wore metaphorical masks to hide their sinister motives and also their double standards. But we are now increasingly seeing underneath that mask as it slips off our leaders. We explore this on this week's Tim's News Explosion.

With NSW and Victoria abanding covid zero, the Premiers are now tying vaccination rates to ending lockdown. Last week NSW Gladys Berejiklian revealed that modest freedoms would only be restored for fully vaccinated residents once the state reaches 70% of the eligible population double dosed, though her Deputy John Barilaro has now said that most restrictions on the unvaccinated would drop at 80%. 

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard finally said something sensible that the fresh air is the safest place to be, yet the NSW Government still mandates face masks outside in lockdown areas. Former Prime Minister was Tony Abbott issued with a $500 mask fine after being photographed and snitched on by a local in his Manly area.

News Corporation media outlets Sky News Australia and Fox News in the US feature hosts and personalities who have been some of the most vocal against mask and vaccine mandates. Yet the New York Post owned by the company mandates masks in its offices and News Corp Australia will mandate the vaccine for workers at its printing presses. Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie claimed and she and other Australians are becoming “agitated” with “anti-vaxxers” and that they are "coming at you, lock, stock, and barrel".

President Joe Biden announced an indirect vaccine mandate signing an executive order that US companies with 100 employees or more will need their employees vaccinated or to produce a negative covid test every week. 

Californians will vote in tomorrow's gubernatorial recall election. Governor Gavin Newsom despite keeping the state in some form of lockdown for a year has overseen one of the highest covid death rates in the nation. The main Republican challenger is African-American radio host Larry Elder. Elder was abused by a white woman wearing a gorilla mask who tried to egg him. Elder has been endorsed by Hollywood actress and Harvey Weinstein victim Rose McGowan who has accused Newsom's wife of attempting to stop her going public about Weinstein. 

In the UK Boris Johnson's Government has shelved plans to introduce vaccine passports at nightclubs and large events. Health Secretary Sajid Javid stated that they found there was no medical justification for vaccine passports though the government will still keep them as an option.

Labor Senator and Former NSW Premier Kristina Keneally arguably the powerful opponent of the Australian nationalist and patriot movements is attempting to elbow out a daughter of Vietnamese migrants to save her political career attempting to parachute into a lower house seat in South Western Sydney at the expense of the local branch's preferred candidate. Keneally lives on the exclusive Scotland Island on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Keneally also authored an op-ed in May 2020 stating that migration should not return to pre-pandemic levels because they take Aussie jobs. This was also a view expressed about Asian migrants by former NSW Labor leader Michael Daley.

The September 11, 2001, plane attacks on the World Trade Centre Twin Towers and the Pentagon changed the world for the worse. The War on Terror has left us less free, not any safer and cost countless innocent lives. Even 20 Years on we still don't know the whole truth about how the attacks happened. A special WilmsFront 9/11 20 Years On.

Joining me in reflecting on this historic anniversary is Andy Nolch the Space Cowboy who like me came of age in the post 9/11 world. Andy and I share where we were when the attacks occurred, we were both in primary school where it was the talk of the class. In 2001 the internet was not widespread, the mainstream media set the post 9/11 news narrative. As the war on terror dragged on and the state's power increased as we entered adulthood Andy and I began to look at other aspects and theories of what occurred on 9/11.

We look at how the owner of the World Trade Centre Larry Silverstein was not at work that day and hence avoided death due to a scheduled dermatologist appointment that morning. We analyze the collapse of WTC Building 7 on the evening of September 11 and how its collapse looked more like a controlled demolition than a structural failure. Also, we look at 9/11's most high profile casualty Barbara Olson who was on the plane that crashed into the pentagon, she called her husband Solicitor-General of the United States and told him the hijackers had knives and boxcutters, except phone records show that Barbara's call to her husband never connected.

The attacks were attributed to al-Qaeda and its leader Osama bin Laden who had been hiding in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. However, given that 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi citizens the complicity of members of the Saudi Government in assisting the hijackers has been covered up for many years with the 28 pages of the official 9/11 Commission Report proving this redacted until 2016. Families of the 9/11 victims who are suing the Saudi Government are also attempting to have an FBI report on the Saudi role declassified. Anti-war libertarian writer Justin Raimondo wrote a book that argued that Israeli intelligence knew that an attack against the US was being planned but didn't inform their allies.

Andy and I believe that the covid pandemic and lockdowns which began in March 2020 has become the next generation's 9/11. The national security and surveillance state created by governments post 9/11 has not gone away and is now being turned inwards against its own citizens who are allegedly white supremacists and far-right extremists. The pandemic health surveillance state of QR code check-ins and vaccine passports will also never go away in the years following the pandemic.

NSW will reopen to the vaccinated only as part of their "New World Order" plan. Countdown starts to implement "knife control" as the NZ Govt moves to legislate new anti-terror laws on the eve of the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Tim and Dieuwe discuss on Trad Tasman Talk.

The NSW Government announced their roadmap to freedom for the vaccinated only, the lockdown will only end for double vaccinated residents when the state hits 70% double vaccinated. Premier Gladys Berejiklian stated she did not want to be around the unvaccinated, her Chief Health Officer Dr. Kerry Chant stated they were looking at what contact tracing looks like in the New World Order. Last year NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said New World Order twice.

Businesses desperate for the government to allow them to reopen have released pro-vaccination ads. Victoria Bitter tweaked their famous "I've got it now' ad. This was released when residents of locked-down apartment towers in Sydney are having their excess alcohol confiscated by NSW Health.

A federal court challenge to the closure of houses of worship during lockdowns was rejected. Victoria Police have shut down and fined members of Melbourne's Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community who gathered at a local synagogue to mark Rosh Hashanah.

In NZ Jacinda Ardern is still pursuing Covid Zero, as such Auckland remains in alert level 4 lockdown with daily local cases still being reported. One of NZ's biggest pro-lockdown personalities has been exposed as a rank hypocrite Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Siouxsie Wiles who was filmed frolicking at the beach with Auckland University Associate Professor Dr. Nicola Gaston. Mask enforcement is being stepped up with even those with legitimate exemptions being denied access to supermarkets because of the circulation of counterfeit mask exemptions.

A week after the Countdown Supermarket stabbing terror attack the ISIS-inspired terrorist who was shot dead by police after has been named: 32-year-old Sri Lankan national Ahamed Aathil Mohamed Samsudeen. It has also come to light that NZ authorities could have done much more to revoke the terrorist's residency and deport him, despite this the government believes passing new anti-terror laws is the answer. Countdown supermarkets whose stores have now experienced two mass stabbings have taken their knives and scissors off their shelves.

Ivermectin an anti-parasitic drug has been promoted by some as a treatment for covid-19. However, due to purported overdose in a covid positive case in NSW Australia's TGA announced they were restricting doctors prescribing of Ivermectin to patients. The US mainstream media fell for a fake story that claimed Oklahoma hospitals were overwhelmed due to ivermectin overdoses. Joe Rogan has claimed ivermectin treated his covid illness.

Tomorrow is 20 years since the 9/11 US terrorist attacks, the War on Terror gave birth to an expanded national security and surveillance state which we are still living under. The War on Terror has not made the world more free or safe with the Taliban returning to power in Afghanistan. Cricket Australia canceled an upcoming men's test match against Afghanistan to be held in Hobart because the Taliban won't allow women to play cricket.

The covid zero cultists were in tears last week as their dear leader Dan abandoned their dream of eliminating the virus. With leaders now setting vaccine targets for reopening they have turned their attention to damming those who won't take the prick. That and more on tonight's Tim's News Explosion.

While Victorian Dan Andrews has joined NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian in aiming for Doherty Institute modeling reopening targets of 70-80% of the eligible population are double vaccinated, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and WA Premier Mark McGowan are still vowing to keep their borders closed to protect their covid zero Oasis. Families were divided on the barricaded NSW-Queensland border for Father's Day. Dan is now talking at his press conferences about lockouts of the unvaccinated rather than blanket lockdowns.

The namesake of Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity Professor Peter Doherty a former Nobel Prize laureate and Australian of the Year has begun abusing those on his Twitter who still don't wish to be vaccinated. He shared an expletive-ridden article from a website called McSweeney's which attempts to convince people to take the vaccine through name-calling and saying fuck in nearly every sentence. 

Australia's continued police state lockdowns and expanding quarantine camp network are making us an international laughing stock and horror show. A resident of the Howard Springs camp in the Northern Territory vlogged about waiting to be fed like dogs waiting by their bowl. A teenager in a Melbourne Hotel Quarantine facility was sentenced to three months in jail after trashing his hotel room when he learned he wasn't going to be released for another 12 hours.

The truckers' blockade that was rumored to occur last Tuesday 31 August did not eventuate with a small protest occurring in South East Queensland the day before. Rumors are circulating online that the truckers' blockade is occurring and is being covered up by the mainstream media. There is footage of trucks backed up on highways and produce shelves empty in Sydney supermarkets. But the more plausible explanation is that trucks are backed up due to border checkpoints and supermarket supply chains in Sydney have been disrupted due to staff having to self isolate due to being close contacts of cases.

In international news, the NZ Countdown ISIS stabber terrorist who was shot dead last Friday after stabbing seven people at random has been named and shamed 32-year-old Sri Lankan national Ahamed Adil Mohamed Samsudee. Despite all the crises going on in the Biden Administration, his Federal Trade Commission is launching an investigation into broken McDonald's Ice Cream machines.

On this week's WilmsFront I catch up with fellow long-time lock downed Melbournian Richard Wolstencroft Host of the Report From Tiger Mountain and Organiser of the Melbourne Underground Film Festival about the shift in popular and celebrity culture during this pandemic's lockdowns.

As well as discussing where we are in the pandemic and including the vaccine rollout we look at the rising number of celebrities and sports stars speaking out against continued lockdowns such as Dave Hughes here in Melbourne, basketballer Andrew Bogut and oversees musician Eric Clapton who has released an anti-lockdown song.

Richard also takes us through some of his lockdown DVD viewings as still keeps up a massive home library and also what he recommends on streaming services.
