  • 40. Someday

Have you let life get in the way of your dreams? What’s the one thing you wish to experience in this lifetime? What’s your ‘someday’? How can you create your ‘someday’ today?

We can’t know the sand that’s left in our hourglass. We don’t know what tomorrow holds or how the rest of our days will unfold. So let's allow joy, build in room for adventure, leave space for spontaneity. Don’t let your ‘someday’ never arrive.

We can ‘someday’ our entire life away. Our busyness can keep us from the fullness of really living. We can delay promises to ourselves and those we care about and soon enough time has slipped and ‘someday’ never comes.

No more ‘somedays’. I’m here for today. Tune in now to hear what 'someday' I made happen today. 😍

What do you say to yourself on hard days to shift your persepective? Do you have a mantra, a battle cry, you use for a pep talk?

  • 34. Surrendered Expectations

Michael and Tasha have felt called to adopt for 5 years but the expectations of their calling have played out much differently than they could have ever known. Busted plans, broken hearts, failed connections, emotional wounds and even giving back a baby that was laid in their arms and brought into their home.

But even still they have hoped for more. That their story isn't over. And in the waiting and in the grey space God continues to shape and mold their hearts to be more like his.

We can fall into a perception that sadness is weak and emotions aren't safe. We have these stories in our head that need to be undone. We have to let go of our unnecessary 'emotional rules’.

Michael and Tasha remind us through their story that no matter the outcome, known or not, it's not a mistake to love. Even when love ends in a broken heart it's not a mistake to love because God uses experiences like this to expand our heart.

Tune in now to hear how Michael and Tasha share can surrender our exceptions and hold on to hope even in the dark.

**Michael and Tasha are still pursuing and holding on to hope of adoption for their family. Do you know a birth mother that is looking to adoption for her child? If so, please email me at [email protected] so we can connect.**

  • 33. When God is Quiet

Do you feel like God has been quiet in your life? Does there seem to be no answers to the questions you've been asking God? Do you feel like you are talking it and walking it out but still....nothing? Is quiet needed? Are we being punished?

I had felt God's quiet for a while. Not just weeks or months but the better part of two years...until recently.

Listen now to hear how God has started moving in my life again, how my perspective on my quiet season is shifting and my three big take aways from my years of quiet: don’t let doubt grow in delay, you can’t miss what is meant for you and stay focused on the creator not the creation.

  • 31. Well That Sucked

Have you ever had something happen to you that you can look at and say..."well that sucked!"?

I know I have and I can't be the only one. It's human nature to look for reasons and answers to questions that we may never know this side of Heaven. Growth, joy, grit, character, grace, empty are all available to us in the suck. The suck grows us, it builds us. But before we can step into the fullness of those offerings, we must first embrace the suck.

Join Becky as she talks about three lessons hard things has taught her: you can't out run the suck, there is power in the pause and the suck is a detour, not a dead end.
