What would we risk in order to rescue someone we love? Bryan Clark explores this question in today's study of Genesis, reminding us to "go into the trenches for Christ's sake," pushing the envelope of faith so that people can see God's power in us. The Lord longs to display His strength and greatness through our lives. He just waits for His people to trust Him and to step out by faith so He can demonstrate who He is.

Whether or not we admit it, we all want the same things: happiness, joy, meaning, purpose, love, and acceptance. This is what makes life worth living, right? As we continue our study in Genesis, Bryan Clark brings us back to what truly fulfills us: surrender to God. This, he points out, is what sets us free. As we let go by faith and trust God, we ultimately find what we've always been searching for. That's what Abram did.

Bryan Clark challenges us to step out of our comfort zones, flee the empty distractions of a worldly existence, and take some clues from Abram in the Old Testament: He set off on a faith journey that transformed his life. As Bryan explores Genesis 12, he encourages listeners to take that first gutsy step. "If you'll trust Jesus," Bryan says, "you can begin the journey too. You can have an intimate, growing relationship with God."

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible makes clear that there are two paths to follow in this world--one that leads to life and the other that leads to death. So, why would anyone choose the second path? As Bryan Clark explores this question, he unlocks an encouraging reminder in Genesis 18: "God invites us into a very real, very personal, very intimate covenant relationship with Him."
