The vision that Isaiah shares is one that creates hope for those who believe and to those who are searching and dissatisfied with the current situation.

Our experiences with God in the past can give us strength for the moment and hope for the future. Not only can this be true for us, but we can learn to share this hope with our neighbors by helping them to experience God first-hand.

Becoming a Christian and a part of the church means that you have joined a family unlike any other and in which there will be no end

In our sermon scripture this week we heard a story in which Jesus preferred a sinner who was seeking God from a position of humility over a righteous rule keeper who thought it made him better than others. So we explore what this attitude from Jesus means for us as believers and ultimately as the Body of Christ.

Life is filled with difficult moments, but we can learn from Jacob that in those most challenging moments we should learn to grab a hold of God and the life God has for us all the more.

Life can be challenging and hard. Paul reminded his young friend in a letter that God can give even the most difficult situations in our lives a deeper purpose and significance; both for ourselves, but also in the lives of others.

You don’t become a disciple by acquiring the right information, you become a disciple by learning the ways of Jesus and living accordingly. So in order to become a disciple who makes disciples make sure that you are connected to others who teach you the faith and Make sure you are connected to others in which you are teaching the faith.

There is a connection between our trusting God, our being content, and our ability to love others. We should grow in our trust and faith in God by pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

If Jesus is our Lord, we should commit to using everything that God has made available to us in our efforts to serve His mission and purposes. So let us develop a missional imagination that allows you to make decisions based upon your being a steward of God's resources.

Those who are lost, by definition, don’t know the way. Those who aren’t lost are called to seek the lost. We should learn to be grateful that God seeks us and in turn become people who seek others
