We have been super busy this summer. Today we share some of the fun and adventures we have been on recently as well as share 2 birth stories of the week. Enjoy and Cheers!

It is said that 1 in 4 women have experienced sexual assault in their lifetime. It's not a fun subject, but it affects so many people. Being a survivor of sexual assault can alter the way we experience birth and birth can very often trigger trauma. Today we interview Chelsea, a mom of 3 and sexual assault survivor. We hope to help other survivors to have the best birth possible for them. We also want to try and bring some education to other providers about how they can be supportive to survivors. We are back at it today talking about postpartum. It is hard and messy and moms need a lot of support. In our me first world many people focus on their rights surrounding your baby before thinking about what mom needs the most. Setting boundaries can help you get the support you need while removing some of the drama you don't. Cheers!!

Birth gets weird sometimes. Things happen during birth that would be very abnormal in any other setting. Today we chat about some of the things other people think are gross, weird or disturbing that we get excited about at a birth. Cheers!!

So this week we are all off call... and I'm not gonna lie, we did not feel like recording. So this episode is basically us shooting the shit for an hour and talking about random stories as well as all of the things we are accomplishing during our off call time. Transitions are hard! Today we talk about some of our life transitions we are going through, and how we have tried to balance our businesses and friendship while having major changes and stresses in our lives. We have learned it really does take a village! The support of a few loving people makes all the difference in the world, especially when we are not at our best. Cheers!!

It's a question we get all the time... how will my older kids do at the birth? Should we include them in the birth process?
