Wine and Punishment

On this week's episode hosts Cassie and Daniel tackle some heavy topics.  Cassie tells Daniel about her surprise day off of work caused by a credible school shooting threat around the anniversary of the Columbine school shooting.   Daniel lightens the mood by talking about finishing a work project, two unsuccessful dates, having drinks with a drag queen and trying a new toothpaste.

The hosts pop the cork on Moscato this week, much to the chagrin of Cassie.

Cassie heads to the Golden State and warns Daniel that no kids were harmed in the making of this podcast as she breaks down the case of the Chowchilla School Bus Kidnapping.  Daniel stays in California for the case of Kristin Rossum, the woman who loves American Beauty...and Meth.

On this week's episode hosts Cassie and Daniel discuss Cassie's discovery of a new wine at a happy hour: the grenache blanc.  Cassie talks about how much different Daniel looks from the previous day due to his haircut and beard trim.  Daniel shares a metro horror story for once where WAMATA isn't to blame, instead a tourist with a stroller standing directly in front of the metro doors blocking everyone.

Cassie and Daniel break into a wine they've done before but love - the Savignon Blanc.

Cassie stays in Colorado for the high society murder case of Nancy Pfister.  Daniel stays relatively local to cover the Maryland case of Clarence Shipley, the man exonerated for a murder he did not commit.

On this bonus episode hosts Cassie and Daniel feel the electricity as they conduct another lightning round.  However, Cassie goes out on a limb and does the case of Aileen Wuornos based on memory alone and no research.  Cassie breaks the case down in 7 min. while Matt and Daniel try to throw her off by heckling her.  Daniel then has  3 min. to respond to Cassie's breakdown before the pair discuss the punishment based on what was presented.

Cassie sticks fairly close to her home state and discusses the rock n' roll mass murderer Charles Starkweather from Nebraska.  Daniel heads to Ohio and Kentucky for the twisty case of Donald Harvey.
