Hey guys, the last episode got me thinking about the thought process behind me setting boundaries in my life. It's honestly something I have struggled with for most of my life. Even though sometimes I do very well, sometimes there's a feeling of guilt that comes with "standing on business".
In this episode I decided to interview the very woman who had a huge impact on my mental health. She has poured life into me & many other people over the 9 years I have known her. She's going to be sharing her experiences in the life of being a mom, boss, mother, & all the rest. We're also going to get real about the way setting boundaries is necessary in all relationships we hold with the people we love. THIS ONE IS FOR THE MOMS!!
Hey guys! So, in this episode I wanted to take a moment to pour into your cup and give you some positive words to carry with you throughout your day. We have to be mindful of the power our words hold when we are speaking about ourselves.
On this episode I will be talking about the role that religion has played in my mental health journey. Growing up in a Christian family, when I first started going to therapy and medication certain people in my life tried to convince me that all I needed to do was "just pray about it" and everything would be fine.
This episode is just some insight into my experience with having my mental health weaponized against me. As a black woman I feel like we receive more backlash for how we deal with our mental health. I hope that somebody else can relate to this and share your experience with me. I also drop a bit of poetry at the end of every episode. I hope you guys get some laughs as you listen to me W(H)INE & CRY. #mentalhealthmatters #winenowcrylater
