  • Joseph Jewell Wines - Adrian Manspeaker
In 2006 we began making wine in a garage for people like us — back then it was all about creating high-quality wines that go with laid back experiences, always bringing it back to food, friendship, and family. Fifteen years later, we’ve aged a bit, like some of our favorite wines, and we put family squarely at the center of all we do. It all happens within a vibrant and close community that surrounds the wine experience. From growing to making to drinking, we’re honing our craft and widening our circle with each vintage. We’re proud and humbled that we get to create small-lot Pinot Noir from the crown jewel Sonoma County sites in our own backyard. We can’t wait for you to discover the unexplored vineyards of our Humboldt County roots. Delight in the simplicity of well-made wines, created and shared in kindred spirit with you. From unexplored vineyards in hidden coastal corners of Northern California…to renowned Russian River and Sonoma Coast sites, we create wines that combine character and approachability, community and drinkability. Every wine brings out the unique qualities of its vineyard and the personality and care of the people who brought it to life. Singular expressions of people and place, vintage after vintage, creating an outpouring of connection.

  • Domaine Carneros - TJ Evans
Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Claude Taittinger's search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 1970s. In 1987 he selected a 138-acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley. Wisely selecting Eileen Crane to oversee the development of the winery and vineyards, the team created the quintessential California expression of the Taittinger style in Carneros.
The heart of Domaine Carneros has always been sparkling wines, with distinctive styles ranging from the classic vintage-dated Brut cuvée to our luxury Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs. In 1992 we added rich, complex Pinot Noir to our portfolio and our passion for sparkling and still wines continues to grow. Learn about sparkling winemaking and Eileen Crane, Pinot Noir winemaking and TJ Evans, and our portfolio of wines.
All of our wines proudly hail from the Carneros appellation, and 95% of our fruit comes from our estate vineyards. More on our vineyards.
As anyone who has driven between Napa and Sonoma can tell you, the Domaine Carneros château is a stunning regional landmark. Join us for tableside service on the terrace or in the salon and savor the spirit of the Northern California wine country

  • Wilson Creek Winery - Gus Vizgirda
“We’ve come a long way since our opening in 2000,” says Bill Wilson, founder and co-owner of Wilson Creek Winery. “And, while much has changed here at the winery and in the valley, our focus, our mission is exactly the same as when we first started.” That focus has paid off with Wilson Creek Wines winning prestigious awards. Wilson Creek’s Petite Sarah won “Best Red in the Valley,” at the annual Temecula Valley Winegrowers’ Association Awards. Wilson Creek is one of only a few wineries in Southern California to receive a 90-plus ratings for its wines from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Fairly new to Wilson Creek, our Library room offers a guided sit down wine tasting of these library wines that are not offered to the general public. Wilson Creek prides itself on offering a multi-dimensional wine experience. We welcome those new to wine and take them through a wine journey as they develop and expand their palate. We also focus on wine education. Wilson Creek is the only winery in the Temecula Valley that offers training to guests in all aspects of wine making through our Wine Academies. Our Winemaker and Vineyard Manager are professors at two area colleges. Wilson Creek Winery has also been active in the community since its inception. The winery has won Temecula Valley’s “Business of the Year” four times. The winery is involved with numerous charitable events each year raising thousands of dollars for charities One thing that won’t change at Wilson Creek it the commitment to family. Almost the entire Wilson family has been involved with the winery since the beginning. On any given day, you will find Matriarch Rosie Wilson with her dog perusing the grounds, or any number of Wilsons at work behind the scenes. “We started the business as a family project, and everyone pitched in from day one,” says Wilson. “Through the years it has become a tradition to treat our guests as our extended family and make family a big part of the Wilson Creek experience.” Like the fine wines it serves, Wilson Creek Winery keeps getting better with age.

  • Story of Soil Wine - Jessica Gasca
As a small winery we can put more time, attention, and care into our wines (than the larger wineries can afford to, really). So in order to make wines of the highest quality, we: 1. Select vineyards that are farmed with the greatest level of care. 2. Focus on single varietal and single vineyard. Single vineyard allows us to focus on "the place" the grapes are farmed and single varietal will show how each varietal is affected by that place (i.e. soil and microclimate). 3. Keep lots small. This provides the opportunity for gentle processing with minimal intervention. (This also grants us the freedom to have a little more fun with experimentation which, in theory, should result in more complex and interesting wines.) And finally, 4. (the most important) We put our hearts and souls into the making of this wine.
It was my first harvest —interning in 2009—when my heart first fell in love. Picking Pinot Noir at the Santa Maria Gold Coast Vineyard before the sun came up. My fingers were freezing and for hours we picked and sorted. I listened closely that morning to the theories behind the growth and life of the vine. Being that connected to the earth was inspiring. Then, for three and a half years (2010-2013), I apprenticed at Sanguis, where I gained much more wine knowledge.
Every decision and action, no matter how small they seemed, were of extreme importance to the outcome of the wine. The harvesting of grapes, all parts of the fermentation process (wether technical or artful), stirring of the lees, topping, racking...heck, even the stacking and lining up of barrels became a meditation of sorts. (Yes, by the way, this girl can operate a fork-lift.) And although times like re-coiling the hose over and over again might have seemed silly, it helped train me. I learned intention. My time there helped me grow an understanding and appreciation for meticulous dedication to detail and style. It was at Sanguis where I saved my pennies to journey out and buy my own fruit. In 2012, while working there, I made my first vintage and began learning on a deeper level. That path of my wine-making adventure was just starting. Today, utilizing what I was taught, it is my goal to continue working with remarkable vineyards. In discovering their nuances I hope to help guide each varietal to make a wine that will show a sense of place and style. And of course to always keep learning. Growing. Discovering. Thank you for joining me in this journey...
