A track that was inspired by the slow evolve of "Detroit Techno"--This is what I call Progressive Dance. This is a project making use of a project (song) I cut the song I am using in this song several years back and it never saw light of day, but I had in my mind I wanted to cut it apart the using some of the techniques I created when making the KLF songs a few years back...the original song that this one "uses" was called "crystal rain" and when this one was complete and I had first listen... I knew its name was "GRIND"

This one has been rattling around in my head since i first created the chord progression over 5 years ago...so I thought it was time to try and complete it.... still a bit of a WIP

When a new version of FLStudio is released, there is a 'demo' track that shows off most of the best features that have been added to that new version--'Release Me' by Telvo featuring Veela is the current offering for the new 12.5 version. Starting with 12.4 version I started taking that composition and adding new elements to give it a "Wintermut3 " feel and 'spin' . Like with 12.4, the base composition was very solid, so I left it intact and build more elements on top of Telvo's song--one of these key added tracks brings in the 'signature' Wintermut3 piano sound...overall, i added about 6 to 8 new tracks to original and really changed a lot of the feel of it(its more hi energy now IMHO) enjoy.. kudos to Telvo and Veela for a great offering to complement yet another really really nice extension of the already amazing FLStudio 12 series...

Sputnik 1 was the first artificial Earth satellite. The Soviet Union launched it into an elliptical low Earth orbit on 4 October 1957. It was a 58 cm diameter polished metal sphere, with four external radio antennas to broadcast radio pulses. If the end of WWII and Stalin fueled the "Red Scare", Sputnik threw gasoline on it. The idea that something was above people, "in space" freaked people out to no end. This track attempts to capture some of that feeling and dread. The actual sound of sputnik is heard at he beginning.

Over 2,000 Man made satellites are in orbit around the earth, many of which are of a type/class which both threaten and protect us--SpySats. This track set for release on the upcoming album "3427H" (earth) captures both feeling of protection and threat in a syncopated 'tour-de-force' of music and technology in the continuing Wintermut3 song cycle about these amazing machines that spin daily above us....''Look to the skies!--SpySat

the tag above "break breaks" is not wrong this song is built around the idea of breaks transforming "on-the-fly" from breaks via banks and banks of gates (via grossbeat) and automation that gates the gates with the gates. Rift is not only a study of Wintermut3's contrasting styles, but also experimental and exploration of more "traditional" electronic genres like "Jungle/Drum and Bass Breakbeat and brings all this full circle back to Post-Electronica by both "breaking" Jazz drums and intermixing Jazz drums with the breaks.
