Ro: În mijlocul iernii, grădinile Cişmigiu păreau un tablou colorat în alb şi albastru.
En: In the middle of winter, the Cişmigiu Gardens seemed like a painting colored in white and blue.

Ro: Aerul rece pătrundea cu dragoste, căci era Ziua Îndrăgostiţilor.
En: The cold air embraced lovingly, as it was Valentine's Day.

Ro: Andrei plănuiase această zi de luni de zile.
En: Andrei had planned this day for months.

Ro: El și Elena mergeau de mână pe aleile acoperite de zăpadă pufoasă, iar sufletul lui bătea mai tare la fiecare pas.
En: He and Elena walked hand in hand on the paths covered with fluffy snow, and his heart beat faster with each step.

Ro: Andrei simțea cutia mică în buzunarul gecii.
En: Andrei felt the small box in his jacket pocket.

Ro: Andrei strânse mâna Elenei și simți că în ea există răspunsul la dilema sa.

Ro: Andrei : "Alex, mult mi-am dorit să ne reîntâlnim. Dar astăzi este despre ceva și mai important."
En: Andrei: "Alex, I’ve long wanted us to meet again. But today is about something even more important."

Ro: Andrei se întoarse către Elena.
En: Andrei turned to Elena.

Ro: Cu mult curaj, îngenunche la picioarele ei, în ciuda privirilor curioase ale trecătorilor și a momentelor de mai devreme.
En: With great courage, he knelt at her feet, despite the curious glances of passersby and the moments from earlier.

Ro: Scoase inelul și îl arătă Elenei.
En: He took out the ring and showed it to Elena.

Ro: Andrei : "Elena, viața ne oferă surprize. Tu ești cea mai frumoasă surpriză din viața mea. Vrei să fii soția mea?"
En: Andrei: "Elena, life offers us surprises. You are the most beautiful surprise in my life. Will you be my wife?"

Ro: Elena simți cum inima îi dansează.
En: Elena felt her heart dancing.

Ro: Ochii ei străluceau plini de lacrimi de fericire.
