From playing the game to beginning the coaching realms at Ord, Nebraska, you must leave the Omaha Area to get back in as a Head Coach. We sit down with Papillion La-Vista Monarch's former Head Football Coach Gene Suhr, who talks about his 23 years at PLV and other adventures before and after, as he is still providing a little football mentoring to a few local programs. We go into detail about the growth of the Omaha area and how this will affect possible future football programs with open enrollment and new high schools. This coach has helped on multiple levels, like Class C and Class A locally, along with a few options on the next level, like at Wayne State College. Leaving the game has been the hardest decision, so he has returned to the game he loves even after two retirements.

The road to becoming the person you want to be is challenging and will involve lots of coming and going with an unknown amount of money. Would you leave a comfortable paying job that is beating up your body? We sit down and talk to LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance) Ring Announcer Mike Kendall about going from an unknown voice to one that is getting traction and recognition at multiple MMA events along with other fun side gigs like the Omaha Beef, where he received a championship ring for their accomplishments while he was their announcer. Leaving the comfortable living with a steady concert job to do what you dream of doesn't result in the finances everyone thinks it doesn't, but doing what you love makes up for things money can't fix. You only have one shot at life, and this life is flying by with excitement, and live it to the fullest.

Growing up around a sport, you learn from the atmosphere, the leaders, and the culture, and you may be able to live a dream to not only serve the country but also be a contender for their boxing division. We sit down with former Nebraska Prep from Omaha South High School Jeremiah Perales, now a Corporal in the Army and a contender for their World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) as a boxer at the 125 lbs division. We talk about his journey with his father, Servando Perales, who opened up Victory Boxing Club and Community Center in South Omaha and used this as his outlet to show his sons how to be better fathers, sons, brothers, and eventually grown men—giving back to a sport that teaches a solid mental and composure balance with the ability to open up and compete at a high level. One of the biggest goals is going from Golden Gloves Champ to the Opportunity to compete at the Olympics one day, which Jeremiah is in contention.

Transitioning from Sports Athlete to Sports Correspondent sometimes is giving up one dream to fulfill another and earn future opportunities. I am sitting down with Hurrdat Sports Digital Director Ana Bellinghausen, but that is only one title to a female sports reporter doing some sideline reporting, play-by-play, and more. A lot of her first in the industry all started at the local University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she earned her Journalism and Media Communication degree and is willing to do the grid to find different ways to use it and grow her profession. Remembering where and how your love for sports started from those days you spent with your father not only engulfed with Nebraska Cornhusker football but then to know your city hosts one of the most significant events in the summer with the College World Series, which she gets to cover herself.
