Wired Axcess

Papillion–La Vista Monarchs baseball standout Beau Jordan McDade (’26) joins Wired Axcess to share a journey rooted in patience, preparation, and personal growth.

As a young athlete simply enjoying the game, Jordan’s future wasn’t always clear — but by trusting the process, finding the right travel baseball environment, and committing to development, opportunities began to open. Through fall ball with WOW Factor and dedicated training with Wired Training, Jordan pushed himself physically and mentally, proving that with the right work ethic and guidance, anything is possible.

That growth paid off as Jordan officially committed to play baseball at Buena Vista University, taking the next step in his journey beyond high school.

Beyond the field, Beau’s story is about leadership and excellence. Alongside his mother Serese, he followed in the footsteps of his brother Tyler by participating in the prestigious Omaha Beautillion, a long-standing rite of passage hosted by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and the Omega Charitable Foundation of Omaha.

Among 15 participants across the metro, Jordan was recognized as Mr. Beautillion and Mr. Academia (Highest GPA) — honors that highlight his commitment to academics, community service, and leadership.

This episode is a reminder that success isn’t rushed — it’s earned.

NEBPreps athlete Travis Hines II joins Wired Axcess to tell a story many athletes are afraid to live—choosing growth over comfort.

After transferring from Bellevue West, Travis returned to familiar ground with the Papillion-La Vista Monarchs, a move that reignited his development and opened doors. From there, he embraced the #JUCORoute, competing against elite talent at national camps—including stops in Florida—and proving his worth.

Once a two-way player primarily at wide receiver, Travis reinvented himself into a lockdown corner, helping the Iowa Western Reivers capture a National Championship. Now, he’s taking the next step—heading to North Dakota Fighting Hawks—ready for the next chapter with big goals.

This episode dives into trusting the process, knowing your value, and doing the work when nobody’s watching.

Former NEBPreps standout and Nebraska Cornhuskers offensive lineman Mike Erickson joins Wired Axcess for a powerful, generational conversation. From battling in the trenches in the early 2000s to watching his son commit to the Huskers, Mike breaks down what the recruiting process really looks like from both sides—then vs. now.

We dive into controllables in a chaotic recruiting world—social media, decommits, NIL, and why staying true to your values still matters. Mike explains what it means to be Homegrown and why that identity is so important to a program like Nebraska.

Mike also reflects on life after Lincoln—from brief stops in the NFL, CFL, and Arena League (his favorite) to finding purpose as an Omaha firefighter for 13 years. When the game ends, what comes next? This episode answers that with honesty, wisdom, and heart.
