When we think of thorns, we think of pain. In fact, a thorn can cause infection, redness, swelling, and open ulcers at the puncture site. The fungus can actually spread to the lymphatic system and move on to the joints and bones, where it ends up attacking the central nervous system and lungs when the thorn or thorns are deeply embedded. This is the analogy given to us in 2 Cor 12:7-10 as Paul describes his thorn. He gives us a vivid picture of one that regulates, directs, gives way to the capacity to be made perfect. In this episode, we discuss the topic of the Importance of the Thorn.
