There is a price of obedience and an equation of obedience. The human equation usually goes like this...understanding and having knowledge of God promises to give us, seeking out what we can do to activate them so that we can be seen by others as obedient.  But God’s equation looks quite different because the price of obedience starts with the heart and in the place of our being.

Should Christians be in business with Non-Christians? A common question usually supplemented by the most often-quoted by (2 Corinthians 6:14) is “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”  The King James Version: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 

Most times, this verse is taken to be the argument against Christians marrying non-Christians. We talk more about this in today's episode.

In the book of Proverbs, a son is exhorted to heed his father’s instruction, and the application of the knowledge learned is called wisdom. 

Solomon tells us that the basis of all true knowledge is the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7), meaning the awe and reverence for the holiness and majesty of God and a reluctance to disappoint or disobey Him. Although our time spent together was primarily from the practical and physiological aspects, all wisdom and knowledge begin with Him. In this episode, we explore the last two phases of learning.

Information is there to serve us so that we can serve others, instead, we’re in complete overwhelm and have become slaves in bondage to the need for more information. To the point that it has become an addiction. Proverbs 9:9 - Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. True wisdom is knowing that there is always room to learn more.  Ignorance is thinking there is nothing more to learn.
