Our overarching theme for this week is about living in relationship with God. We touched on assignment or appointment which comes first and we understood that as a steward you know our assignment comes once we have been appointed many times. Society has us seeking our assignment and telling us that we need to know what that is.

God appoints you and when he appoints you he takes you on a path that has various assignments leading to the Divine assignment. We looked at Joseph and Abraham and we got a better clarity about that.  Assignments come as a result of God appointing us. It's not anything that we need to seek after. A steward is not the owner of his life. Your life is a gift that's been given to you you're not the owner of it you're simply a Steward. A steward is one that catches the vision of the owner.

The lesson of the fig tree is that we should bear spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23), not just give an appearance of religiosity. God judges fruitlessness and expects that those who have a relationship with Him will “bear much fruit” (John 15:5-8). In your Assignment, that task or problem that you were created to solve. He expects it to bear fruit.

Today’s topic is Rebellion in the Rush. By definition, Rebellion is being in opposition to authority. Rebellion can become violent but it can also remain unexpressed. It’s important to know that Rebellion always begins in the heart.

Rebellion against God’s authority was humanity’s first sin (Genesis 3) and continues to be our downfall. Our sinful natures do not want to bow to the authority of another, even God. We want to be our own bosses, and that rebellion in the human heart is the root of all sin (Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
