Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  Today we will be going over Proverb 9.  I will then key in on verse 6 (NLT) - Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgement.  Friends, may I be so bold as to suggest when something happens in your life that you were not expecting that you learn to go to the Lord in prayer?  In Proverbs 3: 5-6 it tells us to "Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."  Simply ask Him for help, and, many times, He will answer your prayer.  Today, we will continue our study on the Book of Exodus.  In today's lesson I will go over three things I would like for you to consider: 1.  The people gripe & complain against Moses and Aaron (I will read verse 1-3 of Chapter 16 of the Book of Exodus).  Even though it has only been a month since the Lord miraculously delivered the Israelites from Egyptian bondage, they begin to complain to Moses and Aaron how miserable they are!  2.  The Lord provides manna & quail from Heaven (I will read verses 11-20); God hears the prayers of the people and rains down "bread" from Heaven.  He provides quail for them to eat at night as well. 3.  The Lord instructs Moses and Aaron to fill a jar full of manna (I will read verse 31-35).  God instructs Moses to provide evidence of the food He provided for them for the entire 40 years that the Israelites struggled in the wilderness.  They put this jar next to the 10 commandments in the Ark of the Covenant.  CALL to ACTION - I ask that you do one of two things - pay someone a compliment today or do a good deed for someone who looks like they could use some help.  Suggested scripture reading. 1.  If you are willing to read one chapter of the Bible, please read the 16th chapter of the Book of Exodus in its entirety.  The podcast will be more clear by reading the entire chapter.  2.  If you are willing to read a second chapter, please continue reading the 11th chapter of the Book of Hebrews.  3.  If you are willing to stretch yourself, please reread the 9th Proverb in its entirety.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verse 23 - For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Friends, if you are a Christian you should be reading the Word of God (the Bible) on a regular basis. It is a lamp, and the instructions are a light to keep us on the right path. On today's podcast I will continue our study of how to become a mature Christian. We are on the tail end of this study and will be going over marker #3 today - developing a growing love for others (#1 - a deeper prayer life - May, 2nd, Episode #805; and #2 - having unwavering faith - May 9th, Episode #810) are episodes you may want to check out. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Let us not love with words or speech, but with actions , and in truth (1 John 3:18).

2. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also outht to wash one another's feet (John 13:14).

3. Love is active and intentional.

If your answer to that question is no, may I suggest that you consider praying to God and asking Him to instill that desire within you!?

These verses are a good description of how the Pharisees often acted when Jesus was around. They weren't concerned with doing good - they were concerned with being strictly ruled by the law, and the implementation of it. We will begin today's podcast by reviewing the three points I had introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #816 - If you did not get a chance to listen to that podcast I invite you to do so). Today we will continue our study of the Gospel of Luke, looking at verses 10-17 of Chapter 13. By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. With Jesus, your life can change in an instant.

2. Jesus is Lord of the Sabboth.

3. Jesus chose to do good on the Sabboth.
