Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verse 23 - For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Friends, if you are a Christian you should be reading the Word of God (the Bible) on a regular basis. It is a lamp, and the instructions are a light to keep us on the right path. On today's podcast I will continue our study of how to become a mature Christian. We are on the tail end of this study and will be going over marker #3 today - developing a growing love for others (#1 - a deeper prayer life - May, 2nd, Episode #805; and #2 - having unwavering faith - May 9th, Episode #810) are episodes you may want to check out. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Let us not love with words or speech, but with actions , and in truth (1 John 3:18).
2. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also outht to wash one another's feet (John 13:14).
3. Love is active and intentional.
Scriptures referenced on today's lesson:
Proverb 6:23; 1 John 3:18; John 13:1-17; Colossians 3:13; Mark 4:26-29; 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Are you growing in your Christian walk?
1. Are you developing a deeper prayer life?
2. Do you have unwavering faith (regardless of the circumstances that come up in your life)?
3. Are you developing a growing love for others?
If your answer to that question is no, may I suggest that you consider praying to God and asking Him to instill that desire within you!?
