Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 2. I will then key in on verse 6 - For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Friends, this verse talks about what should motivate us to get into His word. We will get knowledge, begin to increase our understanding, and eventually will acquire wisdom. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel according to Luke. We will begin in Chapter 5, verses 25 & 26 & continue through verse 32. By the end of today's lesson there are three things that I ask that you consider:

1. They glorified God and were filled with fear.

2. Jesus invites Leve (Matthew) to "Follow Me."

3. Those who are well have no need for a physician.

Call to Action - Imagine what it must have been like to be invited to the feast that Matthew threw to celebrate becoming a follower of Jesus.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 1. I will then key in on verse 10 - My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent. Friends, prior to being saved I may have been enticed by this invitation - but, no more! Now that I am living the Christian life things that used to tempt me no longer do. My invitation is to simply live a righteous life. On today's podcast we will continue our study on the Gospel according to Luke. Today we will begin in Chapter 5, verse 11 & continue through verse 26. By the end of today's lesson there are three things that I ask that you consider:

1. They forsook all and followed Him.

2. Jesus heals a leper.

3. Jesus forgives and heals a paralytic.

Call to Action - Imagine what it must have been like to see this paralytic man healed. His friends brought him with anticipation of having him healed, but there was a large crown. They couldn't, it appeared, get anywhere near Jesus. So they went up on the roof, and took off the tiles and lowered him directly in front of Jesus.

Judy will then share the verse that spoke to her today - verse 5 - Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. On today's podast Judy and I will reflect on what the Lord has been dealing with each of us since our graduation from Charis Bible College on May 13th of 2023. We have been back in Florida for almost a year now, and we go over a few changes which have happened in our lives.

Friends, this verse tells us that if we come into contact and it is obvious that they are a fool the we are NOT to confront them. They will not listen to what we have to say anyway. On today's podcast we will continue our study on the Gospel according to Luke. Today we will begin Chapter 5. By the end of this lesson, there are three things that I ask that you consider:

1. Jesus asks Peter to launch out into the deep.

2. They catch more fish than they can handle.

3. Jesus tells Peter that now he will be a fisher of men.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill & Judy Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. Judy will then share the verse that spoke to her today - verse 27 - Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him. I will then share verses 18 & 19 - Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death, Is the man who deceives his neighbor, And says, "I was only joking." Friends, our neighbors should know that we are Christians, and that we can be trusted. We should not play games on them or try to fool them at any time. On today's podcast we will share a bit about a recent trip that Judy & I took to Myrtle Beach, SC. We took two of the grandkids with us and had a great time. We will also talk briefly about two trips that we will be taking in the near future - one a five-day cruise, and one a trip to Italy, Austria, and Hungary. I am looking at these trips as mission trips - opportunities to share the love of God and, hopefully, the scriptures as well. Judy will then mention the importance of having Jesus in your life and lead a prayer.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verse 21 - If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. Friends, if we are to become like Jesus (and that should be our goal every day - to become more and more like Him) we need to do what He did. If He was still on Earth, and someone was hungry, He would give them food to eat, and if they were thirsty, He would give them water to drink. If that's what He would do, that is what we should do as well. On today's podcast we are continuing where we left off on yesterday's podcast. Yesterday, after completing the 4th chapter of the Gospel according to Luke, we went to the 16th chapter of John. The disciples were sorrowful when Jesus told them that He would soon be leaving them. He told them that He would send the comforter (the Holy Spirit) to them. On today's podcast I will go over the benefits of this - and these benefits are what helps us today. By the end of today's lesson I ask that you consider these three points:

1. The Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin

2. The Holy Spirit will guid you into all truth.

3. The Holy Spirit will glorify Jesus.

Call to Action - If you still have questions on the purpose of the Holy Spirit - I invite you to revise yesterday's and today's podcasts. At that point I would encourage you to pray to God and have Him reveal the answers to you.

Friends, because the Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of each of us today, we now have the ability to overcome any adversity that comes our way. On today's podcast I will continue our study on the Gospel according to Luke. We will complete Chapter 4 today, beginning on verse 38. By the end of today's lesson there are three things that I ask you to consider:

1. Jesus spoke to the fever.

2. Jesus healed all who came to Him.

3. The crowd tried to prevent Him from leaving them.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 23. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day, Josiah Gallegos. Josiah is a fellow 2nd year student attending Charis Bible College. Josiah shares how he grew up a a loving, Christian home, and how he gave his heart to Jesus at a very early age. He says how, at an early age, he had an issue with lying, and at times how he stole from his grandparents. And yet, he knew that Jesus loved him. He tells about how Jesus healed him of a condition that was on his back while he was still young. He began to draw closer to Jesus and came to Charis Bible College at the age of 19. This experience has really developed Josiah into who he is today. He continues to grow in his knowledge of the truth. He shares how his IAGs have prepared him this year and how he has high expectations for his mission trip to Germany coming up in the next few days.
