Welcome to Day 1934 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.

The Great Leaders – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1934 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from John Kenneth Galbraith, and it is: All of the great leaders have had one characteristic in common: the willingness to confront the significant anxiety of their people.
    The Great Leaders

Nearly all people have anxiety about something in life. It is up to the great leader to know and understand those they lead so they will confront the fear and stress that will impact their ability to lead. A great leader will have empathy for those they lead. They will know them well enough to understand them and what may impact their performance. While a mild amount of stress may be helpful, if the stress levels increase too much, it will certainly negatively affect the outcome. Each person you lead will have a different level of stress which causes anxiety. You must know your team well enough to know what that level is for each person. It is always important to also understand that those stress levels may vary daily. Finally, you must establish an exceptionally close bond with those you lead to be effective and extraordinary. Become a great leader so that you can assist your team to stretch and grow to be all that God designed them to be. Lead well!

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Peter+5%3A6-11andversion=NLT (1 Peter 5:6-11)

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen.

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Today’s quote is from T.E. Lawrence, and it is All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.
    Everyone Dreams, But Not Equally

Everyone dreams at night, but if you are like me, you can’t remember much of the dream after waking up. Everyone also dreams during the day. Some people daydream and think about things they would like to do or accomplish but never take action on those dreams. Then some have dreams, but small and large, and they wake up from their daytime stupor and take the necessary action to turn those dreams into reality. This second group is the dangerous people because they have their eyes wide open to see what is possible with persistence and perseverance. They refuse to go back to their sleep state until their dreams are reality. They understand that we must work during the day because night comes to all of us when we will work no more. These are also the people who understand the farmer’s proverb that you must make hay while the sun is shining. So let us use our God-given talents and abilities to make hay.

John 10:4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Stuart Wilde, and it is All humankind’s inner feelings eventually manifest themselves as an outer reality.
    Feelings Manifest In Reality

We can hide our inner feelings for a while and when in specific settings, but eventually, our inner feelings will manifest in outer reality. For example, revealing our inner feelings may surface when we are around certain people or under the influence of drugs or alcohol when our inhibitions are relaxed. In addition, our inner thoughts and feelings can accurately represent our thought process and mindset revealed when we are unmasked from the façade we hid behind daily. As the saying goes, how a person thinks in their heart, they indeed are. I have also seen this revealed in a person who is afflicted with dementia or Alzheimers. Their hidden personality starts to bubble to the surface in how they respond to and interact with family members and friends. Some of these people flow with kindness and love, while others with anger and frustration. The encouraging word here is that if you are on the negative trajectory, you can choose to reverse course and head the other direction today. In that way, when your inhibitions are lowered through substances or age, your personality and feelings will pour our joy and love. The primary way this can come to fruition is by immersing yourself in God’s Word each day and allowing yourself to be changed from the inside out.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%204%3A12andversion=NLT (Hebrews 4:12)

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Today’s quote is from Ella Wheeler Wilcox, and it is All love that has not friendship for its base, is like a mansion built upon the sand.
    The Foundation Of Love

Love must have the underlying foundation of friendship to thrive and prosper. So is it through that enduring bond of friendship that becomes a solid rock on which love must be built. While the passion associated with love may ebb and flow at times, when love is built on that base of friendship, it is like a house built on a solid foundation of rock that allows the love to persevere. Although we will continually be buffeted by the storms of life, which will create strain on a love relationship, it will not destroy that love when the solid foundation is friendship. Therefore, it is wise to foster friendship first, then allow the love to grow from that initial foundation.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+7%3A24-27andversion=NLT (Matthew 7:24-27)

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

Today’s quote is from Pope Paul VI, and it is All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today.
    Life Demands Struggle

While overall, I have a very positive outlook and attitude toward life. I will generally reframe most hostile situations and spin them positively. Despite this, I do realize that life demands struggle. Struggle produces strength and is the building block for a well-balanced and stable life. You may wonder how I can maintain a positive outlook even in a battle. It is because of my faith in a Holy God who is the maker of heaven and earth. He ultimately controls everything that happens and knows what is best for us individually. The peace and joy that I experience amid storms are real, grounded in the faith that God will strengthen and provide what I need for every situation. Struggles are required to refine and mature us. Those who are overly protected or given too much in life will never gain the strength needed to live a rich and satisfying life, which has little to do with possessions we may or may not have. Stand strong in the storms of life, and keep your life full of joy and your thoughts positive.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+9%3A6-15andversion=NLT (2 Corinthians 9:6-15)

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say,

“They share freely and give generously to the poor.
Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. Thank God for this gift; too wonderful for words!

If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and it is: All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance, and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.
Labor That Has Dignity And Importance

There is no such thing as a meaningless job. If the work you do to earn a living is not illegal or immoral, it brings value to society. Therefore, one job should not be looked on as more important or unique because for society to function well and efficiently, everyone has to do their job well. If the garbage worker or the sewer plant manager fails to do their job well, we can have a real mess in our lives. Even more so than many rich and famous persons such as movie stars or entertainers of all sorts. Some jobs or positions may pay more due to training, or society deems those positions worth more like professional sports players, but that in no way implies that those jobs are valuable to the community or you personally. As Christ-followers, we are valuable in God’s eyes regardless of our position. We do for a living to provide for ourselves while we fulfill our greater calling, which is to build God’s kingdom on earth. Therefore, work hard, work well, and work to bring honor and glory to God.

Today’s quote is from Zig Ziglar, and it is: All instructive or critical feedback must be given in private.
    Criticize In Private

There are times when we need to offer constructive criticism or instruction that will help others improve and prosper. However, you should never confront or criticize a person in public; it must be done in private or with one or two additional close associates. The purpose of all such actions is to assist a person in improving or correcting some action or attitude that is not appropriate. When required, it should be handled in a spirit of humility and love and never in a manner that is destructive to that individual. On the opposite side of that coin, when you have the opportunity to present praise and accolades, it should be done in a public setting if possible. Praise and recognition are best handled, so the person receiving it will also have the honor of their peers. In every situation, as much as possible, always build up another, never tear them down.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Timothy+4%3A1-2andversion=NLT (2 Timothy 4:1-2)

I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Bob Smith, and it is: All I know is that I am a product of God, and all I can do is the best I can to thank Him and honor Him and try to grow in Him, step by step.
Grow In Him, Step By Step

Although this is nearly an unlimited amount of information that we can learn and absorb, none of it is as important as knowing that we are God’s creation, made in His image. If you know and understand this fact, it is more valuable than all the knowledge in the world. Once you grasp that you are indeed a child of the King, then you will know and understand how important it is to do your best. We can thank and honor Him on our path to doing our best. Along the way, we are to continually grow in the image of our creator, step by step. So, as an imager of God, a Christ-follower, and a child of the King, let us not be static in our growth, but each day become more like that perfect imager, Jesus Christ.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Peter+1%3A2-11andversion=NLT (2 Peter 1:2-11)

May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Today’s quote is from Emerson, and it is: All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.
    Trust The Creator

The world around us, from the tiniest microbe to the vastness of the universe, indeed all of the creation points us to God, the creator of all. There is so much visible evidence of God through His design that it is hard for me to grasp that there are those who don’t believe and even deny our great creators. Yet, there is much still that we don’t understand or comprehend in life. So, when we run up against those situations when our faith is lacking and we have questions, we need to refer back to what we can see and understand.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+19%3A1-4andversion=NLT (Psalm 19:1-4)

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
    The skies display his craftsmanship.
    Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
    They speak without a sound or word;
    their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.

They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Welcome to Day 1925 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.
This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom
    Encoded Creativity – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1925 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.

Today’s quote is from Reid Hoffman, and it is: All humans are entrepreneurs not because they should start companies but because the will to create is encoded in human DNA.
    Encoded Creativity

I have been an entrepreneur all of my life, which is especially evident as an adult. Indeed, not everyone is destined to be an entrepreneur, and most people don’t desire to be one. Very few that do attempt to be are a success. For me, it has been a drive and passion and certainly part of my DNA. Regardless of whether that is true for you since we are created as imagers of God, the great creator, every person is creative in some area of life. It is part of the DNA that God has embedded within each person. Some people express their creativity through art, raising a family, excelling in large corporations, welding, plumbing, ministry work, teaching, starting a business, or dozens of other areas. God has placed each of us in a unique place in life to build His kingdom and bring honor and glory to His name. Yes, creativity is engrained in each. It is part of the DNA the creator of all has passed on to each of us, His children.

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1%3A1-5andversion=NLT (John 1:1-5)

In the beginning, the Word already existed.
    The Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
    God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
