February 23, 2021Episode 71: Spillin BeansThis week is sponsored by Spillin Beans! You can follow them on Instagram @spillin_beans for more about their Kickstarter launching March 16. Also visit www.spillinbeans.com to enter into their giveaway! You have a change to win the Spillin Beans game, the Grandpa Aprroved Expansion pack *family friendly*, and four of the Spillin Beans character Beer Mugs! You don't want to miss out on your chance to win!Spillin Beans was awesome enough to gift us with a downloadable version of the game. We didn't have the Beans yet, but we used Hershey's Kisses instead. It was a great idea at first, but we just started eating them as the game went on... we can't be trusted with chocolate. There are Three Categories in Spillin Beans. Wild Cards (orange color): Who is Most Likely, Would You Rather and Challenge; Action Cards (blue color): Truth or Dare; and lastly Big Bean Cards (red color) Rapid Fire Trivia. I have a short video on our Instagram explaining each category. The object of the game is to get as much Beans as possible. This game is very interactive and fun. You get to challenge your friends and make them spill the beans about a life story. Or just annihilate them with Trivia or Challenge Cards. We are a pretty competitive group so we love a game pitting us against each other. We also like sharing stories that have possiblely never been told before. Four or more players are needed to make this game enjoyable. Ages 18+ for the regular game, but there is the Grandpa Approved pack that is more suitable for the family. February 02, 2021Episode 70: Mind CrushersHow We Played- Open discussion. No wrong or right answers. Just talked about the topic on the cards. This game is great for Lazy Game Night, in the best way possible. All you need is this deck that includes 200 conversation cards. Mind Crushers can take as long as you want but usually 30 to 90 minutes of play time. The deck includes some NSFW questions so those 17yrs and older can play. The conversation questions are fun and the topics are vast. They have Pretty Stupid, Pretty Supid NSFW, NSFW, Extra Thinky, Controversial, and Controversial NSFW. The cards itself are high quality with great pictures on the back showcasing the conversation question that will be revealed on the other side. Check out below on how to grab your own deck for Game Night!Game of the Week: Cards of Candour *sponsored link* - https://amzn.to/3cuAFelTo Check Us Out:Instagram www.instagram.com/cardswitheandrYouTube @ CardswithEandRTwitter www.twitter.com/CardswithEandREmail us @ [email protected]Support the show...more53minPlay
January 26, 2021Episode 69: Cards of CandourHow We Played- Do we every play a game as intended? We thought it would be more interesting for the podcast if we went in a circle each choosing a card. We read our chosen "Have you ever...?" card. If we have, we shared our twisted story! If you want to know intrusive, intriguing, strange things about your friends, this game is a must. Cards of Candour is an updated version of Never Have I Ever, with more thoughtful, weird questions. We had a great time sharing our stories with each other and you guys. There are questions you don't think to ask your friends, and answers you probably wouldn't mind never hearing again. As usual, this game is for adults 18+. To get the most out of this game I would say 4+ players would be fun, but if you are one on one with someone these questions would also be fun to ask. January 19, 2021Episode 68: TelestrationsGame of the Week is TelestrationsHow We Played- This game comes with a die and timer, but we never keep the die on the table and kept it moving pretty well without the timer. Everyone chose a phrase/word from the This Side, That Side cards or came up with their own. Each tab has directions on top prompting players to either draw the word/phrase or guess. We passed the booklets around until the last player guessed. Then we revealed the guesses and drawing in each booklet. If you have ever played Telephone, Pass the Message, Whispers, ect. then you will love this new twist! The cards are PG *recommended ages 13+*, but of course we made it more R rated. The more players you have the better with this game since the guesses and drawings can get progressively ridiculous. We are not the best artist in the world so just seeing our awkward stick figures was funny enough. January 12, 2021Episode 67: Compound ChickenGame of the Week is Compound Chicken! You can follow them on Instagram @compound_chicken for more about this hilarious game! Also receive 20% off your purchase of a deck with code: "EANDR20"! How We Played- This week we are joined by two special guests: Jill and Nicole from Dragonfly Salon in Savannah! Each player starts, and keeps, five player cards. How do you decided who is the Dealer first? The player with the longest pinky finger! They flip over the Dealer card to reveal the second word for the Compound. The other players choose the best First word from their deck to come up with a new word. We went clockwise in a circle revealing our new word and definition. The Dealer chooses the best Compound Chicken and that player gains a point. Our Compound Chicken words got outrageous! As most of our games, this one is for adults only. A group of four or more is needed to make things interesting and fun. Try not to take making up a new word too serious. We had the most fun when we blurted out our first thoughts. Not to brag, but I believe we came up with some of the best Compounds ever! Let us know which ones are your favorite! January 05, 2021Episode 66: AvocadogsJoin us as we play Avocadogs! Follow them on Instagram @avocadogs_game, or click the link below to purchase your deck today! We also talk about our hopes for 2021 and how we are thankful 2020 is over. How We Played- Throwdown: Set three cards in the middle of the group and pass the remaining deck out to the players. The object of the game is to get rid of your cards the fastest by matching your hand to the categories on the table. This game is great for family fun, or competition between friends. The deck is stacked with hilarious puns! Brioche Bun is my personal favorite. Also, the illustrations are so freaking cute. Rachel may choose one for a upcoming tattoo! The cards are also made "Pub Proof" with UV plastic coating so it's okay if the competition heats up and some drinks spill! We are very happy to have supported this Kickstarter project and to have this deck in our Game Night rotation.Game of the Week: Avocadog: www.avocadogs.co.ukTo Check Us Out:Instagram www.instagram.com/cardswitheandrYouTube @ CardswithEandRTwitter www.twitter.com/CardswithEandREmail us @ [email protected]Support the show...more26minPlay
December 22, 2020Episode 65: You Laugh You DrinkThis game is part of the DSS game empire. Follow them on Instagram @playdssgames for more on this game and others.Short How To: Place the deck in the middle of the group. The funniest person goes first as Joker and selects a card. The Joker will pick a Target, without letting anyone know, and try to make them laugh by doing what is on the card. The Joker has 30 seconds to succeed and keep the card as a point, or fail and the Target gets the card as a point. You do not have to drink alcohol to play this deck, or drink anything at all. The tasks on the cards are funny without inebriation. This game would be better with four or more players. It was still fun with three but would be more interesting with more. Also make sure you have space to act out the cards. Since we were on headsets and microphones, we couldn't play some of the cards that would've been hilarious to act out. Also use E&R10% for 10% off your purchase! ⠀Short How To Play: Place the Red and White cards in separate stacks where everyone can reach. Each player chooses 7 Red Awkward Reaction cards. The most awkward person in the group starts the game off as Judge and picks a White Uncomfortable Situation card. Then the other players will choose the best Red Awkward Reaction card in their deck to finish the situation. The Judge then picks the best Awkward Reaction and the player wins a point. ⠀⠀This game was a blast! The situations cards are definitely uncomfortable and the reaction cards make it even better. There were a lot of reaction cards that had us laughing. The set up is super easy and learning how to play is quick. Will need four or more players to make the game interesting. December 09, 2020Episode 63: Answer the Internet... AgainIt's Theon's brithday week and Rachel had a mission. Theon requested a couple of things to be on a cake, and Rachel was going to make it happen. Check out our Instagram for pictures of Theon's awesome cake and what he had to wear since Rachel came through! There are three categories in the game: Answer the Internet, Poll the Internet or Debate the Internet. With the deck in the middle, the judge picks up the top card and reads it aloud. Then each player answer's the card accordingly, while the judge chooses the best answer. The player with the best answer wins the round! This game is definitely for a group of four or more. It would be pretty boring arguing between two people, and it just makes it more fun with more ideas too. The cards have very interesting pondering questions. This could be a great ice breaker game if you have new people at Game Night!Game of the Week: Answer the Internet *sponsored link* - https://amzn.to/33YZRolTo Check Us Out:Instagram www.instagram.com/cardswitheandrYouTube @ CardswithEandRTwitter www.twitter.com/CardswithEandREmail us @ [email protected]Support the show...more58minPlay
