Nates back and ready to talk about his awesome but busy week. We talk about the Bresse failure but some surprises with the other meat chicken breeders.

We are back! After a week off April and Nate share the big news... they got cows. Two 1 year old Dexters have been added to the farm and its going well so far. We finally have an ending to the power-outage-during-incubation fiasco, and we tell all about our new big daddy plucker.

This is a good one! April and Nate talk about the power outage that happened during a chick incubation this week, as well as the various projects and farm investments the family made this week. Most importantly, Nate shares the final pig plans.

Today it's just April talking about the garden. After an unfortunate nematode incident during seed starting, April is ready to plant all the surviving seedlings after the last frost (which is happening the day of this recording). Lots of changes and improvements to the garden, but she will make sure it ends up being the best garden ever!

Lots of updates this week! Contrary to what we said in the last episode, we should have been on baby watch. The day after we posted the last episode twins were born. A few days later we had a completed birth and unfortunately the lamb didn't make it. We talk about the possibility of raising forested pork, and April had a mishap at the post office when picking up her order of chicks. Be on the look out for a bonus episode this week!

Nate and April share the steps they have taken this week to start regenerative farming. They got new mobile fencing and have already started the sheep and chickens on a rotational grazing plan. As always, chicken plans have changed, and don't go to big box stores for feed.

The never ending chicken saga continues. Nate and April have implemented some improvements on the farm, like putting the mini coop into action. With all the birds separated into breeding groups, the family is ready for a crap ton of chicks to come in the mail this week.

This week Nate and April got bamboozled into buying the world's smallest coop. The farm will be getting some great upgrades soon as the family prepares for their meat bird enterprise. They also answer several homesteading questions everyone is dying to know.
