JONATHAN CREWS CASE
Season 4
Episode 5
So let’s go through the first 24 hours of Jonathan’s case. You all heard the 911 call. Here are the simple facts from the call. Jonathan was shot, there were two people in the apartment at the time Jonathan died, and one of the two pulled the trigger. Since Jonathan is dead, he can’t tell the story of what happened to him, but Brenda is telling one.
Pam Crews discussed the night Dani got the call that Jonathan was dead. You will hear from Dani briefly about the phone conversation on the night of Jonathan’s death. And finally, you will hear from John Crews, Jonathan’s father, talking about the police report and the consequences of a sloppy report.

JONATHAN CREWS CASE
Season 4
Episode 3
In this episode, you will hear about Brenda Lazaro, her family, her friends, and her jobs as told in public documents, and the actual interviews from her friends all in their own words.
You will hear a familiar voice from Tom Shaw; as my listeners know, Tom Shaw is an outstanding attorney, one of the best I have come across for victims. Tom is a Dallas Attorney that will get answers for his clients. He is worth his weight in gold.
Brenda’s background was different than Jonathan’s. It took some investigation to gather information on Brenda. Initially, I was told she was born at Parkland Hospital, but I later found out that wasn’t true; according to her sister Isela, she was born in Oregon. The family moved to Mexico when Brenda was around five years old. Brenda’s family moved back to the States, specifically Irving, Texas, when Brenda was a teenager. According to Brenda, she had a rough home life.
It has been reported that Brenda started at North Lake College in the spring of 2006. Brenda joined WuYi in Coppell, TX, under Henry Su approximately ten years before meeting Jonathan. Henry Su presents himself as a mentor to the kung fu members or a father figure. One thing was sure, and Henry Su had a following; Henry Su referred to them as “The Family”. In this podcast, I, too, will refer to them as the family. I will go deeper into the loyalty of “The Family” in another episode. Here, Henry Su talks about his relationship with Brenda, the Family, and Jonathan asking Henry to date Brenda.

JONATHAN CREWS CASE
Season 4
Episode 2
On February 2nd, 2014, a 911 call came into the Coppell Police Department Dispatch. The caller Brenda Lazaro. Brenda claimed her boyfriend Jonathan Crews shot himself in the chest. She told the dispatch they had a discussion earlier in the day, eaten dinner, watched TV and then talked in the bedroom, him lying in bed and she is sitting on the floor.
“We were just having a discussion and we were just talking,” Lazaro said to the 911 operator. “He just said that he loved me, and I didn't need to leave him and ... he said that he was going to prove that he loved me.” She then claims Jonathan told her to cover her ears and shot himself in the chest.
However, the evidence tells another story.
