WKPJB 103.9 The Indie Storm

WELCOME BACK!!! I am very glad to have you back. We made it through 2014 and we are starting a new year. The paint is still new, still got that new car smell, still tread on the tires. Well, let's get it all out there... OPEN MIC!!! Say what you feel, poetry, gut feelings, emotions, problems, issues... Whatcha gotta say... What do you want to hear from us? Let's get it on!!!

IT'S THE LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR!!!!! NO HOLDS BARRED!!! OPEN MIC!!! NO THEME!!!! It has been a great year to say the least. So much has happened. So many great shows. Awesome features. Wonderful topics. Amazing conversation. Delicious rebuttals.I could go on but I will let you do the talking tonight. Tell us what is on your mind. Tell us about the year. What you liked. What you didn't like. What was great about the shows. What was horrible. EVERYTHING!!!! We want to hear it all and give it all. Let's close out the year with a bang!

Trish Doolin is a long time friend of mine and also a wonderful artist in so many aspects!! I am looking forward to having her on the show. For those of you who have heard my first album, Hostile Intentions, you will know her voice from a track called, These Changing Winds where we did a duet together. She is a remarkable artist in all senses of the word. She is not only an accomplished spoken word artist, but a painter, a sculptor, a jewelry maker as well as an author! Her accolades and accomplishments don't stop there! Her professional resume is incredible!!! She has been out of the poetry scene for quite some time and I decided to extend this invitation to her in hopes of reminding her that her presense is missed!!! Please help me welcome a woman of strong creative conviction as we embark on the journey of dismantling the topics of tainted media and the arts! Trish Doolin!

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you Tainted Lucas. Many of you already know him but for those of you who don't, you are in for a treat. He is joining us amidst a busy schedule. He has a book coming out very soon and he also has several poems he wishes to share. There is also a topic of discussion we wish to tackle. One of our devoted listeners sent in the question: How can you tell if you've hurt a man's feelings. This is not going to be a male bitch session with a bunch of dudes who want to cry about how we have splinters. We will discuss the things people do to damage the very souls of a man. We will discuss it all. Respectfully. Let's talk and it would be nice if I could get more of my male callers who have a strong opinion.

We have had to postpone our regularly schedule interview for another time. The riots have made me... well, I will save my opinion. I want to hear yours. I want to know what you think. Blu Phunk has a lot to say on the matter as well. We need to talk folks. Let's talk Ferguson. Let's talk responsibly, not recklessly. Let's talk human, not race. Let's have a meaningful discussion and let's try to learn rather than judge and criticize. Let's talk...
