WKPJB 103.9 The Indie Storm

Aight so this is not your typical Blogtalkradio show, or so I have been told. Normally we have our open mic discussions on Wed. Well now we will start a new monthly show called, "Settin' the records straight" This show is dedicated to giving a voice to people who have something to say and don't wish to curb it on the stance of tact or formality. They will speak as freely as possible and the host will merely act a guardrail to stay on topic. I hope you will join us for our very first show where we will speak with Carlos Lavezzari also known as Written in Pain. We will discuss a recent video he posted with regard to his opnion and the backlash he received from it. Want to know more? Stay tuned. and if you have something you want to get off your chest, got beef, then let us know and we will get you on the next edition of... "Settin' the records straight"

This week's show is for the awareness of mental health. This month is not only for Lupus awareness but it is also for the mental health awareness. We will take a moment to discuss mental health, the struggles, the triumphs, speak with those who work in the mental health field, those who struggle with mental health and those who have fears of it. This will be an open forum of discussion. Even though we have a topic, we are always open to some poetry!!! The mic is always live!!! Please join us!

This week's show is where we will celebrate the independent artists! We will have two independent artists who are the best at their craft. Prodigal and AChickWitBeats will join us to discuss the business of the independent artists.

Hailing from the C-Port, Prodigal is a multi-dimensional lyricist brings knowledge, witty punch lines, and real life issues to ear drums. His agenda is to bring hip-hop back to the essences of story telling, metaphors, and raw street life.

AChickWitBeats hails from Michigan and simply put she's a CHICK. She makes BEATS and NOT the free kind.

She is a Producer/Songwriter of R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, Electronica, Poetry and everything in between.

She wants to see great artists succeed and she offers the tools to help them do just that...beats & beyond.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to present to you the one and only Poetic Genius, Mr. Chris Green in the building with us. I met him online when he was asking someone else how he could feature. I happened to see the post and told him that I would be in his area for a show. If he was serious, I told him to come out and "audition". Well, he accepted my challenge,... even without having a vehicle and potentially no way to make it to the show. Well, he made it. I made arrangements with the host and he beasted the open mic. I let the crowd decide. He was an amazing success. So to have him as my feature, I think we are truly blessed. Oops. There I go. Rhyming again. I guess that is what happens when you have so many poetic friends! Chamber 7 BluPhunk... Show up... show out. Beast Mode

This show will be different than most. It IS April Fool's Day but I am not pulling your leg when I tell you that today also happens to be BluPhunk's Birthday. I want all of you to stop by his message board and wish him a happy birthday! I have blocked him as my friend, (temporarily of course) to do all of this in secret. Do it as a favor to me! I thank you!

This weekend I, Chamber 7, had the honor and privilege of being a part of the amazing production of Judy's Child. A short film written by Jacqueline King-howell and directed by Ty Hodges. We will have many of the cast and crew of this production on the show for interview and discussion. Please join us and bring your questions about the industry! this will give you an chance to speak with those who are actually in the industry and understand the creativity as well as the politics of show business. It was grueling and intense but WORTH IT!!!

This will be an open mic but we are starting it late because it seems so many people are very interested in EMPIRE. So I want to give everyone a chance to watch the show and bring their opinions. I want to address what it takes to build an EMPIRE. Everyone wants power but we have a delusion about what it is so let's be power hunger this evening and take it to the level of unlimited resources. That is the question on the table: If you had the resources, what EMPIRE would you build?
