  • Emily Coggan >> How to build resilience

Hello and welcome back to the Strip podcast. On today’s episode we welcome Emily to strip. Em is a passionate soul from Dubbo New South Wales. She is the owner and founder of the clutch creations where she designs, sews and sells clutches. She is a trainer at F45 and loves health and fitness. She is studying a bachelor of exercise and sport science and wants to be an exercise physiologist when she finishes uni. On today’s episode Em talks to us about her journey and takes us back to the impacts of her parents separation on her 15 year old self. On this episode she shares her top tips for resilience.

The divorce rate in Australia has been steadily falling over time. From an average of 2.8 divorces per 1,000 people in 1999, to 1.9 divorces per 1,000 people in 2019.

There are several contributing factors to the decreasing divorce rate in Australia, including:

    • Less people are getting married to start
    • More couples are living together before marriage
    • The average marriage age has increased

46% of divorces involved children. Em wanted to come on to The Strip Podcast to strip back her experience of her parents separation and share how this impacted herself, to help listeners who might be going through something similar.

  • Tay & Ange >> How to eat and train your way to great health

On this weeks episode we welcome to Tay and Ange to strip.

Sisters on a health mission to change this generation one carrot stick at a time (Tay would change it to bananas but Ange would disagree).

They love the feeling they get from a good solid exercise session and the benefits of consuming healthy food and they wanted to share this with a wider community.

Tay’s Health journey stems from a skin condition she was diagnosed with at six years old. This has led her down numerous health rabbit holes into learning so much more about real health and nutrition, uncovering the truth about what real health should look and feel like. And it doesn’t lie within a block of chocolate. Since discovering the benefits herself from experimenting with food and exercise she has gained a deeper passion for wanting to get the information to a wider community so they can reap the benefits to.

Ange has always had a passion for sport, being active and the outdoors. It wasn’t until her sister-in-law Tay came along, when she actually stepped foot inside a gym! Not knowing what to do when you leave school at 18 is daunting, but after starting a career as a personal trainer, Ange has never looked back! Ange is now a personal trainer at the Sweat Shed Dubbo, where she loves to motivate and inspire others to not only be the best possible version of themselves but to help them change their lives for the better!

Together this makes them an unstoppable force between the Sweat Shed Dubbo and the Nourish Bowl providing the community with little to no excuses for why they can’t have better health.

Tay and Ange have also provided Raw Impact Online Yoga & Wellness subscribers with an in-home online workout! This will be released after this episode of The Strip.
