Hello friends, this is the episode we have been teasing for a couple of weeks now. Have you heard of covert narcissism before? This maladaptive personality type is not always easy to spot, hence the "covert" phrasing. Covert narcs are often much sneakier and subtle in their lies and manipulations, but do not be fooled, they are just as dangerous as their more extroverted narcissist counterparts. Some of the traits we uncover in the episode are around the narc's charm, lacking self-awareness, recklessness in their finances and sexual encounters, blaming everyone around them, no long-term friends, gaslighting, creating confusion, and even mirroring to you exactly what you are looking for. It's believed that 1 in 200 people are diagnosable with NPD, and if you're a person who is empathic and caring you'll likely be targeted by a narcissist at some point. We'd love to hear what you thought of this episode. Please share it so that others may gain awareness and hopefully the courage to step away from a dangerous situation.
