Before you're a black woman you're a black girl and it's so important that you don't forget the young black girl inside of you and let her come out every now and again. This week in light of mental health awareness week, a very inspiration Dope Black Woman joins the show to discuss mental well-being in black girls. 

Ebinehita Iyere is the founder of Milk and Honey which is a female led expressive safe space that allows black girls to feel empowered and heal from their experiences.   Together, the group discuss the importance of teaching our black girls how to feel their emotions rather than telling them that they have to be strong, the adultification of black girls, how we deal with grief in the black community and the benefits of therapy and the first steps you can take if you decide that therapy is something that you want to pursue.
